I googled Sarah Robles to see how she was getting on after the Olympics. Not a lot, but scrolling down Google and there was this. Why are people so nosy? And assume this all the time?

I saw this too!!! Lmao hi fellow club member 🙋‍♀️
It was a wild ride. The poor woman was just trying to be nice and sensitive and do everything right and in typical fashion the OP still managed to take offense. (Felt a bit bad for her too because she is obviously not well but wow)
Oh my god I can't believe this hahaha! I'm so glad I'm not the only one in the group who thought this! Hard agree with your other post too - there is deffo something not quite right with OP. Don't know how we would connect but I'd be up for it!

I don't think I am. Most frightening for me is the huge increase in young girls being referred.

Putting a gender non-conforming child on puberty blockers is an irreversible medical intervention and the current UK processes before a child is given those blockers are insufficient to prevent harm imo.

Honestly I don't believe any NHS Child and Adolescent mental health services are sufficient at the moment. For any child (let alone those experiencing gender dysphoria). This is a Lancet article from pre Covid, and I shudder to think how much worse it has become in the interim period.
It is not at all irreversible as this article states. It pauses puberty and if they change their mind, can stop the blockers and puberty will resume. What about that is irreversible?

As we have said time and time again here, rather than discussing the point that @maytoseptember, you have just resorted to the ‘this is transphobia’ mantra. She may have quoted someone else but these are the points she’s making. You may not agree but why not make your points about why you don’t agree rather than just crying transphobia? In particular point 3 of that post. How can a child possibly know what being the opposite is like if not for stereotypes?
I actually commented on this thread thinking it was a balanced discussion. I read a bit further and then ‘screamed transphobia’ because it is.

that argument is like saying, how can you know you’re straight if you’ve never been with someone of the same sex? How can you know you’re female if you’ve never been a male?

Excuse my ignorance but how does it work for using changing areas/toilets when a child is transgender? Especially as they grow older? Do they use the male/female toilets or would they use the additional needs one?
I work in a hospital and we occasionally have transgender patients and usually try to give them a single room however this is not always possible and you then have the dilemma of placing them in a four bedded room with three other people who are the same sex as them but they may be a female and the rest are men or vice versa. I have pictures of Monty pre-transition. I’ll post them if it’s allowed. They were posted online by Monty himself, even though he likes to whine about them being “leaked” like nudes 🙄 he’s still tagged in said photos on Facebook, ffs.

I know a TIM who has a love/hate friendship with Monty and he once complained about how privileged Monty is, going off on holidays all the time and having those surgeries. Nothing poor or oppressed about him at all. Massive misogynistic scumbag and loves to harrass women like JK Rowling, Kathleen Stock and Emma Hilton on Twitter.
Just my opinion but if the pictures are on the person's social media its fine to link however if its a case that they where saved a while back then no....stress its just my take on it btw.

On Glinner's substack there's an FOI request about the number of trans-identified male prisoners in UK prisons (not necessarily in the female estate) and the number convicted of sex offences is staggering. Around half, if I remember correctly.
Do you mean 50% of the crimes committed by male to female men are sex crimes? I think this is lower than the norm actually. I saw a documentary on C4 about the police and what they do to trap those online trying to groom kids and the % of overall crime that was sex crime was staggering.

But are they receiving the help they need? The Tavistock has had some pretty damning whistleblower stories. I'm not sure they are in their current form helping any child.

Those numbers to me reflect the poor provision for child and adolescent mental health care across the UK.

Not to mention that there has been such a jump in cases in a decade just makes me think that research into Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria among children, especially girls, is urgently necessary.
I think you're looking at it the wrong way round. Over the last decade, think how much has changed in terms of awareness and knowledge of gender identity, LGBTQIA+ etc issues which ten years ago, kids would have had no idea about. They would have gone on to become very unhappy adults who would / may look to transition later in life, some of which may go on to suicide. Now however, there's a lot more awareness and understanding amongst the general public, so young people are presenting much earlier in life. Secondly, health professionals have more awareness. A decade ago, a GP's response would be quite different. The fact that referrals have increased can only be a good thing.

Finally, a referral to Tavistock does not automatically negate a referral to CAMHS. The waiting list for Tavistock is huge, and therefore young people may be simultaneously referred to CAMHS and Tavistock; CAMHS to provide support in the interim. The figures quoted do not assume that CAMHS is out of the picture.

See for me Katy does pass, even with their voice. Their Twitter is nauseating, everyday its attack attack and being miserable. How can someone live like that?
