Yeah they do this to make it harder for their partners to leave. It's usually done in tandem with emotional abuse (and the self esteem eroding that comes with that) so the partner sticks around. There was a case in Canada ( I think), where a transman who had all documentation as male , had some kidney ( I think) problems. All the tests showed the trans man was within normal ranges for a male but those levels were far too high to be normal for a female The trans man would have died had they not told the drs that they were actually female.
Edit: it was USA and doctors found the uterus when they scanned the transman….apparently they were quite shocked!

Can I get something off my chest, because I'm really annoyed at the state of women's healthcare in this country (Ireland).. particularly after my experience today. I hope this is the right thread.
I went to my smear test today. The Irish cervical cancer screening programme has been embroiled with scandal in the past few years as 206 women had developed cervical cancer after having a misdiagnosed CervicalCheck smear test. The misdiagnosis occurred due to our health service outsourcing the reading of the slides to the lowest bleeping bidder, a dodgy network of laboratories in the USA which we were told would be phased out in light of the scandal, with all future testing would be conducted in Ireland (in 2018). Well, today I was told that all samples are being sent to the US because the Irish hospital labs are 'too busy'. I'm now wondering what is the point in doing my smear test, if it's only going to be sent to the US and read incorrectly. All that discomfort for nothing.
Bare in mind this is the same country that:
- Preformed an outdated procedure, symphysiotomies, in place of c-sections up until 1990 because of some Catholic bull. For those who don't know, the procedure involves slicing and sawing through the cartilage and ligaments of the pelvis to widen the birth canal. It is a horrific procedure that caused brutal and life changing injuries.
- Infected pregnant women during the 1980s with hep-c and HIV via Anti-D injections as the blood used to create the Anti-D injection was bought and shipped to Ireland, via the US.. the US blood they brought in was taken from American prisoners/drug addicts
In all of the cases above, the government refused to accept liability or pay compensation to victims until the last 2010s. Now, what do all of these scandals (and subsequent cover-ups) have in common? Is the fact the lying, the gaslighting, the lack of accountability. Well, yes. But the biggest common denominator here is that these are all issues that affected women. If these were scandals that affected men, there would be huge inquiries, pressure on government to issue apologies and compensation immediately. But nope. It affects women, so no-one gives a tit because in the healthcare system - we're just an afterthought.

I heard a terrible story about someone we vaguely know - she was with a boyfriend for years, they got engaged and got married and he told her on the honeymoon it was a mistake. Nothing to do with trans but just a man being a crappy coward. Devastating.

It happened to a friend’s stepdaughter - he announced he was trans a few weeks after their wedding. Now he won’t let her be alone with her family - she says she is fine with it but has started having panic attacks and gone really withdrawn.
Tommy Dorfman (the MTF actor) has split from his husband. They got married as two gay guys. It’s hardly surprising his husband doesn’t want to be married with a person who has breasts (he’s taking hormones so obviously going the whole hog). His insta page kinda turns my stomach. His masculine face trying to pose as a sexy woman just makes him look terrifying IMO. I really liked him in 13 reasons why. Interestingly though the statement he made about about splitting with his husband he made it sound like he might like women now? Something about he doesn’t want to be in a male gay relationship. I'm relieved for the husband, I mean, who wants to be stuck with someone who is so "look at meeeee" all the time. Same with Elen Page's ex partner, better of out of there because so much attention is bestowed upon the "trans" person with not much care for the other person left to either accept it or be damned as phobic or at fault. With the celeb trans and non-binary people, it becomes their entire personality and their USP and they get fawned over and worshipped to the point noone can say anything. It's sickening.

I have 3 children and although the youngest is 14 I can still remember (vaguely) their toddler years. For a start the eldest did not start speaking till he was about 3. However they where all filled with the usual toys, animal books, teddies, endless re runs of ice age etc. The only thing we never gave them was toy guns or anything like that.
