I personally agree with the idea of violence against women and girls dealt with as a kind of terrorism, which it is, but the point is, as someone else said, how could you do this without acknowledging women, and not trans women able to come into our spaces?

I thought I knew all the ‘keep safe’ tips (such as not walking at night, not wearing earphones, carrying keys between your fingers) which have been drummed into me since childhood but I read a new one today. Along with flagging down a bus, Twitter also told me to tit myself because humans are naturally adverse to bowel movements so if you’re kidnapped and poop yourself, your chances of being grape go down a bit.
Saw this video on Facebook, it’s not related to gender discussions specifically, but it made me think of the whole pronoun and non binary thing and how you can’t do right for doing wrong. Also the fact that the guys page is called ‘Nathan the cat lady’

I don’t think you should be allowed to be a police officer if you’re convicted of a crime. Especially whilst on the job and especially crimes of a sexual nature.
Edit: im shocked at what I’ve learned about the police recently. I honestly thought if you had a record your chances of getting or staying in the force were basically none.

Saying your pronouns are she/they as a female is just pointless. Everyone will naturally default to using she/her anyway because of the blindingly obvious.
I was just thinking the same. What is the point in even including ‘they’. No one will use that. Just attention seeking and truly odd behaviour.

I mean really. Are people actually this stupid. Women are killed, drug addiction is rife, underage girls are now being targeted and that still isn’t enough for some people to want to put an end to this madness. What the hell is wrong with people? What is wrong with Labour?
On the police issue, there will always be a need for a public organisation that deals with violent crime. But the problem is how you keep that from becoming corrupt. While some people will be attracted to it for genuine good reasons, bad actors will also be attracted to it due to the power they will be able to wield.
Atm the debate is polarised between the 'police are never ever bad crowd' (especially in the US) and the ACAB pro anarchy antifa crowd.
Also, on Sisters Uncut- they were at Sarah Everard's Court case the other day but I haven't seen them be active around Sabina Nessa. Please correct me if that's wrong but it gives me the impression that they are more about the ACAB agenda and not about the violence against women issue.
