My employer has emailed us again to remind us to update our signatures by the end of the month i.e. add the latest logo graphic to show the workplace's latest accolades, ranking, etc. However, the email links to the page I've mentioned here before where it tells you the format to follow e.g. name, pronouns, position, department, company, tel no, working hours etc, with the patronising spiel about why pronouns are 'helpful'. It will be interesting to see how many update theirs and add the pronouns in now they've been asked to. I've updated the company logo/accolades graphic on mine but no pronouns. Some people will be oblivious to the request though because some are still using the "best XYZ employer in XYZ industry, 2018" :ROFLMAO: when we have had new ones every year.

Can you put N/A in the pronoun field

Did anyone see the video of the 70 something Star Wars shop owner who was accosted in his shop by an AGP giant male who claims to be a woman? The shop owner had a sign saying if you have a fool you're not a chick so the TiM went in and tried to shout him down and bully him. The shop owner refused to back down and it's glorious

Nice use of the words 'hard right' to attempt to deflect, what an absolute a
It's typical TRA tactics.

Also, another TRA tactic that's doing the rounds is some of them claiming to be 'ex GC' but they've since seen the light. I've seen a few in the last day or two

This is a good response to OJ's 'Douglas Murray is hard right' claim. Worth clicking on the thread

Politics is so binary now that calling someone hard right automatically negates their views with a vast swathe of the population, thats why people like Owen Jones say it. I'm quite comfortable agreeing with someone on the other end of the political spectrum to me on some issues, I mean sometimes I even find myself agreeing with Nigel Farrage but fortunately only very occasionally and not anywhere near enough to vote for him so I'm fine with it. Listen to the message not the messenger.
I suspect OJ is shitting himself right now.

Woman's Hour are at it again...

I've actually submitted a complaint this time. They are getting hammered in the comments which is encouraging.

Luckily the email sig format is free text so I've just omitted the pronouns part.
If they hound you about it perhaps you could point out how women are still not taken as seriously as men in business.

We all know that men have an advantage at work and are promoted more easily than women.

I think pro nouns could be challenged as compelled speech but the majority of people will see no harm on it because they see trans women as sweet people who have had surgery etc.they don't even know about non binaries, transitioning children, AGP, wax my balls etc. That's how they win minds through respectability a little pronoun and pregnant people here and there. Insidious. Speech influences thought and they know it.

For arguments sake though, what about the people who are genuinely struggling with their identity and have not yet been open about this? How is bullying people into this ‘expressing pronouns’ business helpful then?
You’d actually think trans/nb people would be a bit more mindful of this seeing as they’re oh so sensitive

I rarely listen to women;s hour but my mum has listened for decades and she actually mentioned this to me and how angry it made her as someone who grew up in the 70s going on protest's for women's rights. Glad people are calling them out

Perhaps you could say you don't feel comfortable sharing your pronouns with everyone because you are worried you might be judged. Hopefully gets you out of sharing the person to whom you are speaking they can assume that you feel judged because of being trans whereas I might be judged can mean the exact opposite.
