Queens, I've found an author who ticks all my boxes, Scottish police procedural with great writing and a believable female protagonist plus the storyline has strong gender critical tones.
It's great to read, I'm not sure the sex of the author but it's Drew Augustine and if you're here Drew, I'll be buying the next two books in the series in about 5 minutes.

Here, Natalie is a les trying to find a date on the apps.

There's also an academic fighting with gender woo people at her work and it's almost like reading here. Bloody good stuff. It's called The Twenty Murders.

Just saw a news article on Facebook about a trans march last week, the headline states "we just want gender neutral toilets, they don't want us to exist"

Firstly the comments were golden, which was refreshing (my favourite being "we don't want you to die, we just want you to duck off")

Secondly, why is it always death? Can't use our loos "you want us dead", don't want you in our prisons "you want us dead" and so on and so on.

They also hold “die ins” where they lie motionless on the pavements to protest about eg the puberty blockers pause/ban. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks Johnathon, this is a really handy list of ‘people who aren’t craven imbeciles’ 🙂

[except Stephen Fry. He’s still a fool]
Stephen Fry must have that fence jammed permanently up the crack of his *rse, he's sat on it and wiggled backwards and forwards for so long.

Wanker.

What we really need is for some very heavy people of both sexes to walk over the "corpses" and see how long they stay "dead".

Emotional blackmail. “If we can’t get our own way we might unalive ourselves”

Well, I’m never one to stand in the way of someone’s dreams…

I know Drew, she's lovely, the first time I met her I actually won her book in a raffle at a woman's festival, I didn’t realise I'd chatted to her a few times already!
Edited to add, if that wasn't clear, she's a Terf.

Thank you for sharing! Just saw the books are on Kindle Unlimited and I have a free trial of that at the moment so just started the first one and it's great, immediately the writing is so good (though the first scene is pretty grim!)

I wonder whether Drew Augustine is curious about the sudden flurry of purchases. (I've sprung for all three, I love a police procedural.)
