I was thinking it's a useful list. He's doing a service to GC people everywhere by telling us who to support..Richard Ayoade, Ann Hegarty & Martin Freeman are all GC? Ace, that's made my day
Will there be anything left in womens life that these men don’t want to take part in?I was a member of CND for many years. Because there weren’t many people in my area, our local branch was amalgamated with the WILPF branch (Women’s International League for Peace & Freedom). There were some formidable old-school feminists in that group, many of whom had been instrumental in the Greenham Common protest. They were all a generation older than me, but I was in awe of their attitude and the stories about protesting at Greenham and the harsh conditions they put up with. Their numbers are dwindling now.
Anyway, I just looked up the WILPF (founded in the First World War) to see if it was still going and saw this on their membership page

So now blokes can join. This was a movement originally set up by suffragists as the International Women’s Congress (renamed WILPF in 1915) with the aim of eradicating the root causes of war. It was set up by women for women. I wonder what the members of my local branch, many of whom are in their 80s and older, think of having to admit men in dresses should one demand to join.
Well we all know that nobody is better at being a woman than a man. So grateful for their service. Will there be anything left in womens life that these men don’t want to take part in?![]()

Their ego’s are the problemWe know there's the fetish aspectto wanting to intrude.
But I'm increasingly becoming convinced that - for some men - it's:
a sense of entitlement
or a belief that women aren't their equal
or a lack of empathy / understanding of women
or view it as a challenge
Or a combination of the above.
They simply can't take "no" as an answer.
It's because we can get loans and credits cards without a husband, isn't it? And we can get jobs. And we can wear what we like and style our hair how we like. They don't like that we have some autonomy. However the economy will probably fall down without us working so they have to put up with it . And they make millions of women being able to rack up debt and buy cars etc, so they try to hate us in different ways like using our toilets and curbing our safety. We know there's the fetish aspectto wanting to intrude.

Parental rather than maternity leaveGet to duck! The only nuts they should be bothered about are the ones that go in the peanut butter. Wonder what their maternity policy is? Bet it’s no where near as accommodating.
