And it does make me roll my eyes when I come across - not on that site, but I've encountered a few and in the real world - people that defend prostitution as "it's a CHOICE! people should be allowed to do what they want with their own bodies!" yet understand why surrogacy is exploitative, even if someone would ostensibly choose to do it

I remember attending antenatal appointments with my husband many years ago. NHS run, about 5 sessions in total. One was about breastfeeding and it was made clear that men didn't need to attend. Only one husband came. Five years later I saw the family again, because our children ended up in the same primary school. They got divorced. Turned out the guy was a total control freak, beat his wife, etc., etc.
There are many reasons why female healthcare excludes men from certain spaces. One is to give women a chance to speak up. Sadly, many don't but even if only some do, it's worth keeping that practice. Woke bros will never understand this.

Just read that Colin Pitchfork won't be put on the sex offender register because it isn't allowed to include anyone who was only convicted before 1997. I can't imagine the hell the families of his victims are going through right now.

The letter inviting women to a breast screening specifically states that it is undertaken by a female technician. I'm glad they didn't let him in the waiting room. Personally, I wouldn't even be happy about a man loitering in the corridoor beyond.

In the women’s health space there is definitely a place for men, but there also has to be patient choice. My first IUD fitting - lady GP couldn’t make it work, so I had to go to the gynaecology consultant at the hospital. It was a man, I was told beforehand to check if I objected. He was completely professional and all went well, as you should expect. I don’t have an objection to a male doctor but I know that for some women it could be traumatic, it could be incompatible with their beliefs etc. To be unsure when you ask for a woman doctor if you are going to see a woman or a person who was once a man and might still be male bodied, is far too much stress for people already feeling vulnerable. Anything with a speculum and you are vulnerable.

jesus I felt shivers reading that, this is my number one fear tbh, soooo many crimes (especially against women) it is just the woman is just wrong place wrong time. God I feel sick thinking about it
