Just watched and he’s done 4 reviews in one day 🫨 .. all Ramsay. Breakfast, pizza, burger and fine dining. All in one day.

I've often wondered what the situation is with his mum, because in the early days of his channel he leant into his role as a carer to explain why he couldn't travel far etc. I guess now the channel is big he's paying for professional carers or residential care. I don't imagine he'd ever disclose that though.

I took it, that , when he did the big announcement vid with RMT Danny , that he was helping him out (cos everyone is so cruel) he was doing new channel with him and he would be stepping back a-bit from his own channel. Mother’s illness etc.
And would be doing less for the time being. Clearly, I took that completely wrong, as he seems to be doing loads.

His recent video with the English guy (can't remember his name, they went to man's sandwiches) was just weird to watch, their relationship seemed weirdly tense like you could see Mark annoyed they other guy didn't immediately hold everything up to the camera. I've always wondered about marks relationship with food, he seems so thin and drawn for someone who eats so much, that and his eye rolling obsession with food

Gary has been driving me mad for ages. Clicky clicky bait recently. However, he’s redeemed himself with his new review and calling out these Tik Tokkers trying to ruin small businesses!

It seems the partridge esque persona is totally fake though, compare it to his earlier reviews, never acts the prat there. you could argue its because he was nervous or what have you but even when he seemed to have built up some confidence a year or so in he never acted this much of a pleb. Again questioning whether Danny is the influence or if its their agency.

And its been some time since he came out with the whole 'i dont get paid for reviews' response to accusation videos etc so that mightve changed by now, especially with Danny being the sort of reviewer/ creator that would literally wear sponsors on a t shirt. On the other hand not getting paid just means he can be as rude or have as many bad takes about the food / places he wants, he wouldnt be able to do nearly as much of the click bait slop if he had to promote every place with one of his favourite bits being 'it isnt worth it for the money'

Since "Tory Boy" Matt from Food Review Club was called out for charging £1500+vat for a review, and it didn't seem to have any real effect on his channel, all of them charge now.
£750 - £1200 a review.
Maybe the restaurant or takeaway gets a reduced rate if more than 1 of them reviews it.
Probably why they are signed up and let the agency do the bookings.

He refers to the cameraman as his son, but for the longest time didn't let that out. No idea if he's married or not.

Also no idea if he bought subs, but I've said elsewhere on this thread that my husband found him right at the start and it was kind of meteoric how fast his channel grew.

Is he married? Children? I read somewhere his cameraman is his son. He is 60 this year.

Also, how did her only start his channel in 2024 and has 467k subscribers? Did he buy subs??

Pretty sure the MacMaster helped him in the beginning.
All his followers must have gone to Gary as his channel has stagnated.

When he was a kid, pub food was absolutely awful. It’s not like he’s Jamie Oliver. He looks like he was a doorman/porter. Nothing wrong with that, but this guy has not had a full career of eating and knowing good food. He has just found a niche and making money from it.

Yep, I get it. I tend to whack on one of his videos when I'm eating, but it's all getting a bit samey.

I have found that Greeno Eats knows much more about food and wine etc than Gary.
Greeno gives very good reviews over all. And he doesn't pretend he isn't making any money from youtube the way Gary does.
If only he would stop pushing up his glasses all the time - it's really irritating!

Greeno is indeed more knowledgable. Oh dear, that's all that I'm going to look for now.
