Fine in small doses. Won't be watching that channel he started with the rate my takeaway fella, I find him unwatchable.

Yep, I get it. I tend to whack on one of his videos when I'm eating, but it's all getting a bit samey.

This is worth a watch from Danny & Gary's channel.
........ The biggest video we've ever created. Today, we're at Fowl in London run by the brilliant chefs from Fallow. Hannah Ricketts, Harrison Webb and a surprise guest will be joining us.
I found it different ,funny & will take a look at Harrison & Hannah's YT video's too.

Omg that wetherspoons "festive" dinner was the saddest thing I've ever seen on a plate

I watch his videos and think he can be very amusing, but, I don’t watch the ones with other you tubers on with him. I like the posh hotel and Celebrity chef ones. Some though, like the so called Rudest chippy one. I felt bad for the owner. I really disliked the Steak and chips for a quid one too, Just thought it was very OTT and maybe it’s always been this way, but a hell of a lot of ads too, which means I can’t be bothered to watch it all as I just lose interest. Especially when Tom Fingers Kerridge keeps popping up every 10 seconds clutching his frying pan grrr

I found Gary rather patronising with the owner of "the rudest" chippy one telling him he shouldn't reply to reveiws etc and the Steak for a pound was just misleading it wasn't a pound he spend about £60 on two little portions of slop fair play to him for giving £20 to feed the kids but he didnt have to do that on camera

Agree, I felt the so called “rudest” chippy owner was put on the spot by him turning up. People commenting how great it was that Gary gave him a platform to say his side, and how helpful his advice was etc. I felt the bloke didn’t have a choice in it really. He was basically ambushed, if he didn’t speak to him , it would look bad, so had to go along with it. You can tell the bloke has enough to worry about. He should have just done the review, if he was so inclined and let it speak for itself, but of course there is no “drama” in that.

Just review the quality, cooking, price such as £2 for each sauce etc. value for money, final bill and mark it out of ten.(Like normal).
Then, mention he gives free chips to the hungry and stuff at the end. As for the steak for a pound.. the bloke said himself it’s the off cuts that get thrown away. Good man for not wasting food and giving some people a bargain , but , that’s just good sense, he’s running a business ,he’s still making a quid , he’s not the Saviour. Good luck to the guy, but what a fuss was made.

Yeah, Gazza was being a bit patronising IMO in that particular video. The £20 was a bit OTT.

As for the rudest chippy one - yep, defo the bloke was put on the spot.

For someone who claims to have been in the industry for many years, I find his vocabulary to describe the food extremely limited and repetitive. But then again they are all the same, and not actual foodies.

Yes, you're absolutely right - he's not the most eloquent of blokes. I reckon that he was a pub manager and didn't do much with the food size of things.

His parents were in the pub trade when he was a child .
I wonder if it's in his book about his career in hospitality .

When he was a kid, pub food was absolutely awful. It’s not like he’s Jamie Oliver. 😂 He looks like he was a doorman/porter. Nothing wrong with that, but this guy has not had a full career of eating and knowing good food. He has just found a niche and making money from it.
