It’s really sad how she said she doesn’t understand people who celebrate their birthday for a week. People often celebrate for a week because they have lots of friends and family to see and do stuff with which means it’s spread out more. It’s sad that she can’t understand this because she doesn’t have anyone except her mum in her life.

On the wash hair on todo list thing - I do put stuff like that down because I sometimes get a bit brain foggy and can end up forgetting and realising I now don’t have time but I doubt this is the case for Gab because she has nothing but time lol

Exactly this. I recently spent a week ‘celebrating’ my birthday, I don’t like to be the centre of attention either but that doesn’t mean it’s not a fab excuse to get people you love together and celebrate with dinner and drinks etc especially if other peoples birthdays are at similar times! I find especially for my friends who have kids it’s a nice excuse for them to have an evening of adult/chill time. It’s so blindingly obvious she has so very little people in her life and certainly no one she would ever consider their needs before her own!

Regarding the hair washing on her to do list. I must admit I was doing this during the lockdowns, I really struggled with feeling very lonely and fatigued so I started making daily to do lists one for work and one for my evenings and ticking things of made me feel much better and like I had achieved something that day, the minute we could socialise again my non work to do lists went out the window

How insensitive is she that she cannot even pretend to like a gift someone gives her? It shows how materialistic she really is. We’ve all gotten gifts that don’t appeal to us but we still appreciate the thought, you know. It’s not like she’s a generous or thoughtful person either. She is a lousy gift giver. Remember when she gave Jane a Starbucks mug, George a Nespresso that she got for free and her former friends those matching slippers that she held on to for a couple of years because they never met up with her again? She totally only said those things since she’ll probably not receive any gifts because she has no friends or if she does, they’ll be generic stuff. No one wants to give her anything anymore because she’ll likely “hate it”.

Also, she doesn’t like to be the center of attention? PLEASE! Every few days she does something that screams “Look at me! Look at how quirky/poorly I am!”.

Watch her be all dramatic on her birthday and post whatever gift someone gave her out of pity "thanking" them with fake enthusiasm.

She’s the one that makes a snivelling birthday post every damn year. Don’t like your birthday then don’t make vlogs and posts about it?

She doesn't like to be the center of attention? .. The moment Zoe announced her pregnancy, she announced she was pregnant with a growing tumor named clemmie

I hate that she's using Covid as an excuse still - obviously for a lot of people it is a genuine fear and completely understandable, but she has already been into London before when the Covid cases were much higher and said how much she loved it. She's probably just having a strop that Jane wants to do something for herself and doesn't want to spend her whole visit baking buns for Gabby and rubbing her back.

Ok I have a question regarding the granny trolley! (I think the clue is in the name lmao) Is it still considered a huge social / fashion faux pas for young women to use these? I, a 30 year old woman, had been considering one myself, just for the weekly shop. It’s a 45 min walk and a rucksack and bags in each hand destroys me every week. I sometimes use the bus but I, unlike Gabs, enjoy the walk. I googled my query and got mixed results. Can you tell I’m an over thinker?

She could become a jehovah's witness, they don't celebrate birthdays and aside from the blood transfusions - which she could have had during one of her many operations - she already fulfills most of what is and isn't allowed by the teachings. No more birthday blues - ageing sorted!

Personally, I don't care if someone uses a granny trolley. Carrying heavy things for long periods is backbreaking.

We can criticize Gabby for a lot of things but the granny trolley is not one of them. It's one of the few good decisions she has made for her health.

Just get one without garish patterns and you wouldn't look silly. Or you could get one with a different design, not made of fabric. I see ones that look more like a plastic crate with wheels or go full wagon.

No, a lot of people use them here! If you live somewhere like the inner city area where you need to lug groceries home or jump on the bus or whatever, they’re handy. Saves on money catching taxis home. After I fractured my spine I honestly don’t give a shit what anyone thinks I look like, the pain of hauling heavy things home isn’t worth the looks people may or may not give me. I actually think for Gabby it makes sense (not that she’s lugging much to the post now) but if she still doing that, why not save some money?

No wonder she has a constant tummy ache if she eats butter that’s been left out for hours, possibly days at a time

I don’t think it’s a bad thing at all, and I don’t think it’s justified to laugh at Gobs for it. (Though she is fun to laugh at). If it saves you the discomfort of carrying the bags then go for it, im 24 and I used one all through Uni because why should I make my life harder than it has to be? Honestly, I’ve never looked at anybody who uses one and judged them for it, if anything I used to think that it was a bloody good idea whilst my hands were falling to bits.

Mines just black plain fabric with big wheels for stability.

Go for the trolley if it makes your life easier. Absolutely no shame in it. I used one for years when I lived in a flat without eight flights of stairs .
No need to hurt your back or hands for a food shop.

The trolley is fine. I think it's the overall effect of Gobbly dressing like a granny in her frumpy coat and clumpy shoes - that, plus the trolley, ages her massively. We all know she gets an uber to the shops and gets her Juniper shite picked up so it's not like she has to walk too far with her stash of ham and butter.
