I do think the laws are different there though, they are more aimed at driving in less crowded conditions and at slower speeds, particularly in rural areas.
I don't think that he actually can't cook, it's more like he chooses not to as he doesn't value cooking/everyone has always done it for him so why should he bother type of person.A grown man doesn't shower for 7 daysbecause he doesn't have coins...
How about asking for some when buying takeout 3 times a day. Or at reception. Or anyone at the camp grounds.
Not even gonna waste any energy rolling my eyes at a 39 year old not being able to cook a meal for himself.
I think he's using the pan problem as an excuse to justify him eating take out, if he really wanted to be cooking pasta, then he would be.
He seems quite happy to let other people do things for him a lot of the time, which has really come across in this cross country driving series.

On the Raya and Louis channel apparently Raya has flown out to “surprise” him, that takes the excitement out of his “will he make it” storyline. Planet conscious as always. Couldn’t be arsed to watch it.
Yep. Completely ruins the point of the trip IMO. I understand she was missing him but couldn't she wait a few more days? Did she hop on the plane to go home and let Louis drive the rest of the way? Lmao

I'm finally caught up on the series.
He's so frustrating during this trip! He knew it would be cold so didn't think to try and close up the gap in the foot well so he can keep warm then complained about his feet being cold for a couple or episodes until he got to tenessee and kara bought him battery powered socks? He couldn't have bought them himself?! He just seems so unprepared - he didn't have the right adaptor to charge to begin with and ended up relying on that guy to drive 6 plus hours to pick him one up. It's a good job he has such good friends! And sounds like he keeps calling the mechanic for advice- I bet he's fed up. And raya flew out to meet him?! Doesn't that defeat the whole point of him racing to get back to see her? And also thought one of the points of the electric bus was to help 'save the planet' and show anyone can convert a vehicle to electric so her flying out (and presumably back to New York) negates alot of that?

No update for 5 days since his van packed in. Who's going to be interested now that we're almost halfway through January? Think it's safe to assume this trip was a failure.
Weird that there’s so much radio silence. No Instagram posts about Christmas from either of them. If he’s trying to build suspense of whether he made it or not for views, surely sacrificing all Christmas content isn’t enough pay off? Hope nothing has actually gone wrong

Then again, they're probably just taking a long, lazy break. Louis uploaded the last video five days ago, so he must have made it to safety at some point. I'm sure he made it to New York in time for the holidays.
I think I remember Raya posting a photo of them all together some time around Christmas day - although as it is with Insta stories, it's nowhere to be found anymore. So my guess is he made it to New York for Christmas (even though I'm not so sure about the van) and he's just taking his sweet time with the editing. Anyway, it also seems like they are in Brighton already!
The fact he hasn't uploaded anything for 8 days and considering the content of the last vlog, leads me to think he gave up on the van and got alternative transport to make it in time for Christmas. Otherwise he's just being crap at his job stringing everyone along half way through January.

Yeah, the lack of explanation is weird. Even if the van broke down, he could still make a good video admitting he'd bitten off more than he could chew. It was clearly harder than he was expecting so I'd be intrigued to hear what he would do differently next time. I've lost any interest now.
