I don't understand how Raya can be intimate with him. The last time they were in Costa Rica, he worked on the rotting bus for a week while she was away at a luxury wellness retreat and when it was time to pick her up, he said he hasn't showered in a week (doing physical labor in the heat) and that he doesn't have time to do so before getting her.

He also filmed his dreads getting tightened in the past and the amount of dirt that fell out of his hair in the process made me gag.
I am screaming at this 🤣🤣🤣. I think he's one of those types that uses salt deodarant that does absolutely nothing. Their recent video moaning about roads at their plot etc!! Also Raya saying it's not normal for two people to live in a house just the two of them and that it's only a very recent concept and that's why so many people are miserable, because they don't live in a big group. I couldn't think of anything worse!

I’m married with 2 kids now but in my early 20s I rented a flat by myself.

The place was immaculate and I could sit in silence or in nothing but noise whenever I felt, always watched what I wanted on the tele and I was so happy. Never felt lonely or miserable. I loved living by myself, I’d recommend it to anyone because you learn how to live WITH yourself if you know what I mean.

When I met my husband and we started growing a family it all felt like the right time to, I’ve had my peace now I’m in the midst of the storm, I love it but it’s really ignorant for these two to spout nonsense like “people are miserable because they don’t live in large groups.” Because frankly, that time by myself was awesome.

I also think, the only reason I’m happy with my dynamic right now is because I love my husband and I love my kids, it’s unconditional. I’ve never loved a friend or an acquaintance like this and I never would. The friend would aggravate me their mess would stress me out and their noise would get old real quick.

These two just want to come off as hippy dippy but they’re middle aged and weird.

LOL at Raya rambling on about how we are all meant to be living in community. She and Louis spent years leading self-centered, elitist lives traveling the world. And then they decide to move really far away from their families (their ageing parents!)....to live in community! You couldn't make this tit up. And all those people she doesn't even know, whom she sees as lifelong friends already, only seem so great to her because she doesn't know them. You won't get along with everyone just because you decided to live in a group. Sure, people there are open and they want to make it work. But they will all encounter disagreement, anger, boredom, indifference along with the support, parties, and friendship, it's just how people are. So far, every day is like a holiday. Poor Louis spends some time cleaning and measuring up the lot, but aside from that they are just strolling around, meeting friends, eating out several times a day, getting tubs of ice cream and some dessert after a three course meal (no wonder Raya is as big as she is). And I agree with the person who said that Raya and Louis want to live with house mates because they can't be just with themselves or each other. Always distracting themselves with Neo or food, that's their life right now. And if Raya wants to share everything with those people, why doesn't she want to have her baby there? It's good enough for the locals, but not for her!

At the end of that video Raya showed the worst side of herself - smug and superior. They have bought themselves in with those people (just), it’s nothing to be so superior about. Notice the complete lack of sympathy given for the bereaved “community member” she was so happy to have something she felt she could brag about,

The story about “rumours” about a road was nonsense, they are trying to extract themselves from that place. They’d go and talk to Steve the capitán of Alegria and say what are you going to do about some alleged road going through our lot that we paid you for, if they wanted to fix it. Since when did Raya care about “hurting tree roots”? She’s as urban as they come. There aren’t even any trees, those are basically twigs. That land is so fertile it can be razed to the ground and it will all grow back over the rainy season.

At least they didn’t criticise the UK in this one, it really annoys me when they do that as they will be milking the NHS for all it’s worth when they have the baby.

Yes, they don't really care about the environment. You always see them carrying their shopping in different plastic bags they just got, getting their food and drinks with single use cups, plates, and cutlery. And while some of these things may be produced using somewhat eco friendly materials, it's still waste, especially if you live next door and just go there every day because you are too lazy to cook. Just bring your own bags, maybe even your own fork! They are just going to scavenge off the land until they are bored, or the land is bled dry. Not to mention their many flights.

Anyway they will flee as soon as the rainy season starts so this whole community talk is even more ridiculous.

Under the surface they’re just a pair of posh (dirty) rich kids that never grew up. They have as much depth as a paddling pool. They don’t really care about the environment, community, sustainability. They care about what sounds good on video.

The road next to their lot is being bulldozed. They are complaining about trees being taken down because of this. The entire area is filled with shrubs and trees, there is no danger of the flora changing because of this. Never mind that the roads they use every day (because they drive every day. They live in nature but drive every bleeping day) were once full of vegetation, or the lots their community builds on also needed to be razed down to some extent. They are part of the bleeping problem. They are okay with the roads they need to use, but they want to prevent roads that other people need being built. More people in the jungle, more need for all kinds of roads. They chose their lot because of a nice tree next to their property. The draining channel Louis created is not on their property. And now they are upset because the tree and the channel might have to make way for a common thoroughfare. Louis complains that they want to make the road seven meters wide, but he drives a massive SUV. He's acting like that bulldozer is a massive threat to nature, while they are building a colony right in the jungle. Their entitlement is huge. They are the embodiment of neo colonialism, capitalism, and gentrification.

Not to mention, that if you’re of the wild free-spirited kid raising brigade (and I’m a soft touch hippy type and I think this is a terrible idea), you’ve got to hope the people around you don’t mind the entitled little prince doing what he likes.

How many of you think they will actually build this guest house? I can't see them committing - also are they sure they aren't being ripped off? I have no idea about building on a plot of land but given the number of problems before even starting are they not looking at a timeline of at least 5 years? The whole I sent the architect circular houses and so he assumed I wanted a circular house I'm just like wit - surely they are paying for all these silly miscommunications

Some things could have been planned better, like determining the exact distance of the building from the edge of the property and whether the area to be built on is actually level. They seem to think they can pull off building their home while traveling around and living in Brighton, when it might take a lot more commitment and dedication, like making it a top priority and actually being there.

I don’t understand how they get as much help as they do. Both Raya and Louis dads have been out on holiday helping him with the rotting bus to try get it into a better state. How much work has Louis dad done on this bus in the past and it’s still a mess? Surely there comes a point when someone needs to slap them and tell them to get a grip on their life and plans

Also how old is Louis’s dad? He must be minimum 65 if Louis is 40. His dad did loads of it, it’s not even as if Louis and he do stuff together. And his dad was hoarse from the dust or mould. They really want to be careful, his dad could get ill or collapse. And this is straight after Raya’s dad has been out and doing all sorts! I noticed it was up to Raya’s dad and Siya to communicate with the workmen. Then L&R slope off for a night in a spa hotel (presumably an undisclosed ad) because they are sooooo tired from their busy lives!

Poor little Neo, they upset him with that gender reveal. Barking at him to say a colour when he clearly either didn’t understand the question or didn’t know the words.

For such a hippy couple they are quite focussed on the gender of their baby. I thought they would subscribe to the “let the child choose” approach. I’m not sure I understand their so called liberal views, at their heart they are conservative Christians with a sprinkle of crystals and air miles.

The jacksgap video about what happened to him and his brother reminded me of 'FunForLouis' - I honestly always thought he would continue to do projects like his street bus where he invited local teenagers in etc.

Either copying Kristen and Siya, or they are short on cash and will need to live in the bus while the rest of the house, or rather car port, is being built.
Louis’ dad is worth ten times his weight in gold for all the work he gets through while those pillocks slope off for yet another lunch at a restaurant that’s “our favourite but we never get to come here”.
I noticed Kristen and Siya have moved to Montenegro! Could be so he doesn’t get lumped with all Louis’ building work, while Louis makes the video. There was at least one video with the dads plus Siya working away while Louis filmed.

It drives me nuts how he says Costa Rica like "Cah-sta-rica." If you're going to live there, at least pronounce it right.
