Raya is still a mass consumer at heart. In those charity shops in Brighton, she always bought ten dresses, or ten games, or fifteen books at once, thinking it's okay because they are second hand. But it's the same mentality as fast fashion. She has a gluttonous approach and doesn't really value anything .
Yes - second-hand is a good idea in general, but it becomes a problem when people buy a lot of first-hand clothes because anyway they can be then second-hand clothes so that's fine - which is why the market for second-hand clothes is huge. I volunteered in a charity shop for a while, the amount of donations was crazy. It suits people like Raya who will buy a lot of second-hand clothes feeling guilt-free but at the end of the day it still means a voluminous production of clothes.
How much longer does he plan to hang on to those sad dreads? They're hanging on for dear life back there, oddly discolored, while his hairline is barely visible from the front anymore but for the wild frizz that frames the head like a fuzzy 6 inch gray halo.

Those dreads have looked hideous for years now. He would look loads better with a proper haircut. I always wondered how Raya tolerates it. I guess she likes the free travel enough to endure a few grievances.
I remember way back in the day like 10+ years ago, he uploaded a dreads tidy up video and he had literally sand in them and he hadn’t been in sand in a long time 
Wish they would stop encouraging Neo to sit on and/or walk on the tables when they visit food establishments.
I love reading the observations in this thread, they make me want to watch some of R&L's vlogs. But the videos are so long! I don't think I could bear it. I don't know where to start, I don't have hours on end to spare (nor do I enjoy watching them).
Louis did a series a few years ago which is him and some lads crossing India in tuktuks, that was great.
We are rewatching the series where they go round Europe in a van. But there are hours of it and we like watching them, although we also rip them for blagging/flogging/daftness. It’s not GCSEs, don’t put yourself through it if you don’t like it
I started watching one of the latest Costa Rica vlogs and it's just random footage, it doesn't even seem edited that much. It's so typical of Raya to go for these "easy" vlog style videos where they just film their mundane activities and ramblings, instead of making themed videos like she did years ago. Especially if it's Louis who edits them late at night. I still can't believe they chose to focus on their least successful channel, but I guess it is growing. It just seems weird because, as has been said here, they are not in the financial position to build a proper house and everything. I find it hard to work out who has edited the vlogs….where one of them is ratty with the other, like when Raya had the light set up and Louis moved it and she snapped at him “it took ages to set that up”, who left that bit in to make the other look bad?
I agree their ”jungle diaries“ aren’t very good and not in the league of what Louis used to post when he was travelling to different cities. But then his style depends on doing about 5 interesting things a day, which doesn’t work in their current situation, when one of the interesting things is ordering a lackey to move rocks from A to B and being unable to make yourself understood because (learn Spanish ffs, Raya should be ashamed being a New Yorker who doesn’t speak any Spanish).
Never watched Raya’s videos, I can’t bear when she does that smug eyes-closed arms-open pose, ”aren’t I great and aren’t you jealous of me”. Almost all their content now is Neo…
I suspect they put the diaries and Costa Rica stuff on the less successful channel so they can put the product plugs - cameras, evs etc - on Fun For Louis.
Just read today that many many participants at their beloved Envision festival got sick (puking etc.) while there. Were they too? The would of course never say it. Also, the locals hate the event as it just bring noise and druggies. One of the funders of that festival is the same guy that sold them that land lot in Alegria. The whole thing feels scammy and culty as hell.

They would never let me into Alegria, apart from not being a multimillionaire, if he tried to poke his random fruits into my face he’d get a kick in the nuts. Scammy and culty is right!
I honestly couldn't imagine going to bed next to a guy with such state of hair. His dreads look like a squirrel possibly lives there and it smells.

In the latest q&a video they said they plan to spend 6 months in the UK, 6 months in Costa Rica. How is that going to work for schooling for Neo? Which UK school will allow them to take him in and out like this? Raya also said she's considering home schooling. Poor Neo
I just worry for him. It all sounds very confusing to put a child through.

They haven‘t got a clue how it’s all going to work and I think they know it. They might have enough money to build a lean to over their bus in CR…..or they might not. From what Raya was saying about loving to walk with the buggy, and how they can’t walk anywhere from CR because it’s all overgrown and steep, I don’t think they will stay there long enough to have to worry about school. I notice all the questions they answer, they don’t talk about the carbon footprint…I honestly couldn't imagine going to bed next to a guy with such state of hair. Just sought out this thread to say: poor Kali. I wonder at what point they'll admit she's officially rehomed. I thought when they left Costa Rica they might have been going home to her but it seems like they're in New York for a while instead.
WTF? I just started watching the video about the emergency surgery. Surely Louis doesn't need a visa for his own country and could have traveled to England immediately after discovering he was seriously ill?
And what's with his hair? It just gets worse. I can't believe he doesn't care about his looks. He's holding onto and old idea of himself that is no longer there. He's an aging guy, who became a father late in life, and it's taking its toll.
And, of course, they moan about visa regulations again. They say, they don't even want to spend as much time in the UK as would be required, but of course they want the visa and all privileges anyway. They are so spoiled and entitled.

I think he’s growing it long and will lose the dreads once he has neck length hair of his own. If he just goes cropped he will looklike his dad, nothing wrong with that but he’ll look older than his age.
