I think it’s more he disobeyed direct orders that the team had clearly laid out. Alpine are desperate for points, and in Monaco it’s like the one place their lack of race pace doesn’t matter. Esteban was told from the start to hold position behind Pierre and protect him from any potential threat behind. Not only did he not do that, he rammed into his own teammate on the first lap and caused a load of damage

I think this fits with multiple stories that people have shared about her - she's very self-serving!

I'm still convinced that her and Joao will end up together in a completely miserable marriage where they spend all their time cheating on each other and splitting up & reuniting every year. The influence that Fred had had on the team is just insane.

It’s going so under the radar. The consistency they have now compared to before is insane. Charles not outside the top 4 all season, Carlos not outside the top 5? That’s so important going forward

I agree. It's why he's very obviously putting a lot of hope into Antonelli. I think he knows that of the 4-5 big young talents (Max, Charles, Lando, George and Oscar), he has the weakest of the bunch in terms of being a leader and well-rounded driver.

Max goes without saying. Charles and Lando have both proved they're ready to fight when they have the car, they have excellent race management and have grown into really good team leaders. They not perfect and have things to learn but that comes with more and more fighting at the front, Oscar is still a bit green but he'll get there as well. George is the same amount of time into F1 as Lando and only a year behind Charles, and while I do believe he's up there with them in speed, he severely lacks in his development compared to the other two, both in terms of race craft/race management and leadership skills.

Even with the car not being amazing, he could have taken these three years with Lewis to learn everything he could from him, and really use Lewis to help him develop, but instead he's just the exact same George who entered the team in 2022. He doesn't seem to have learned anything at all.

I’d honestly even argue he’s got worse. I think instead of “using” Lewis as a tool to learn from, he’s just been completely fixated on beating him and he thinks that’s what’s been most important, that’s what makes him good. But it’s not? And if I’m going to be controversial, what did he do well at Williams? Yes I know now they have Vowles and more funding than they did when he was there, and the car generally is better but I’d argue Alex has done a lot more in the 2/3 seasons he’s been there than George
