Oh it's not just now, it's all the time and in all fandoms. Don't also forget how the main character is also the best of the best. Mary Sues are my pet peeve and usually "slash" between two drivers is written way more realistic. It's ironic really.

Someone on tumblr posted about this and I found it to be quite accurate. Back in the day, fandom kept itself self-contained-to access RPF you had to gon on forums like LiveJournal or obscure zine sites or even places like tumblr so while people may have been aware of it, it wasn't mainstream. But with the popularity of tiktok, you now have a new gen of kids who are posting their self-insert RPF straight on a platform where there is no way to keep content out of search-you don't have locked blogs or age restrictions or whatever. Also many fandoms self-censor on search platforms to avoid being found but not on tiktok so you go into the #charlesleclerc tag and you will see this content alongside all the other stuff.

It doesn't help that some of the teams, like Alpine encourage it by posting about Piarles and Yukierre and whatnot

PS for the record, I am not putting all these three guys in the same category, I have stronger opinions about Rogan and Jordan, less so about Williamson who I know less
but I am allergic to ig/tiktok gurus in general, at some point they all become repetitive and while I do think there are some advice/thoughts on ig/tiktok that can be very useful (even from people one would generally not agree with on some topics) I am just not too fond of the bubble where everyone quotes eachother and repeats some mantras without context

And lets be honest, Shakira was the best gossip that happened to him in years dating wise. But provably he doesn't care and in the end he is responsible for his choices, no matter how questionable. Juliana-and I have no doubt it's just fwb situation/convenience-will be using this connection for months at least (lets just wait for her stans to say they've been dating for a year). And he is probably in Brazil for business related things anyway
