I mean obviously that’s a super young age still so please don’t get me wrong and I really love him as a big FE fan, however there’s been this trend with F1 teams recently where they choose to raise really young guys to settle a long term future. Red Bull kind of started it with Max, then Ferrari with Charles and I think next years McLaren line up really speaks to that as well.So... @i-moo-la - i’m with you on his age sadly. he’s already got a good few years on a lot of the grid (listen to me talking like 27 is a grand old age), and i do think that most teams would prefer to fill any free seats with either young talent or a driver that brings money and a new audience (like at apparently want to do with herta). as good as nyck was today and hopefully will be tomorrow, i think he’s going to be one of those talented drivers where the timing was just never right for him.

Interesting what you & @i-moo-la said... I actually thought he was younger so what you both said makes sense, teams often want younger drivers they can mould. Hopefully he does well tomorrow and gets a 2023 break!

I still think the biggest surprise would be Charles winning and Ferrari not bleeping it up for him.This is the most chaotic grid line-up of the season so far!

I mean it does sound exciting on paper but Max is gonna lead by lap 2 and Charles is gonna be ducked by Ferrari by lap 3 and it’ll all be the same as always isn’t itThis is the most chaotic grid line-up of the season so far!
Ahh I missed the final positioning as I had to pop out. Such an interesting field! Especially as mclaren and Mercedes are actually performing quirlet closely this year (in terms of car ability etc) … the scrap between Norris and Russell will be interesting. What a chaotic and exciting field!
