After watching races as somewhat neutral and not really rooting for any particular driver or team, I somehow because invested in Pierre Gasly this season. When I check on results/qualifying now as I often can't watch, I have automatically start from the bottom of the leader board and work my way up instead of starting from P1 down.

We all become invested in Pierre Gasly. He's a special Frenchman we all love and wish the best for.

Personally also want to eat his french baguette.

Hahahaha the life of a Gasly fan! Sometimes when I’m watching quali I don’t even realise who is top three cos I’m too invested in Yuki and Pierre’s battles further down

i need to see the actual grid lineup though because i’m confused

Carlos is such an icon, he’s the personification of “meh”

So happy for Pierre and Daniel! Ahhhh I knew Monza would come through for me! No doubt the race will fall into the usual lineup but at least quali gave us some surprises!

On a personal level, I feel bad for Latifi. That's got to be soul destroying. However, assuming he had no technical difficulties, he really shouldn't be out qualified by a man who didn't even know he was driving until this morning and has never races in F1.

Those yellow suits are awful, but Charles and Carlos still look good in them.

i feel for him too. he did appear to have that issue where he couldn’t slow for the turn, but nyck was already ahead of him by that point. i don’t have anything against him but i do also think someone else could make more of that seat.

i hate the yellow suit but i LOVE the black and yellow fireproofs underneath

Just gutted for Alex, the car seems to have something here and he can’t participate 🥹

Also happy for McLaren but I just know they’re gonna go backwards tomorrow so whatever 🫠 they’ll probably finish P13 and P15

So Sky F1 have just said penalties have to be served so Max starts p7. Some rule a certain Mr Massy created in 2020. Earlier Sky F1 said it would be P4 and also said that to Charles.

the expression charles made when he got told that in his sky interview made me but also

i was sure he’d start p7 otherwise that’s no penalty at all really, but i think the penalty setup needs to be seriously looked at. when you have this many drivers penalised in one race, a bunch of them end up not really being “penalised” at all.

He’s got to start seventh if he qualified second otherwise he hasn’t been penalised five places. If he started fourth he’d have lost two places instead of five.

Thanks. I was reading P4 somewhere because of other drivers' penalties. P2 to P7 makes the most sense.

Exactly, I was so confused by everyone saying P4. I think we gotta apply his penalty last, first the people starting in the back (like Lewis and Carlos) and then when that’s all settled he’s gonna drop five spots

That’s what I thought too! Doesn’t make any sense otherwise, surely a five place penalty should be exactly that?! Also now there’s talk that Sharl exceeded track limits oh GOOD LORD NO.
