I love how understated Alex is. “Had a slight incident” aka NEARLY DIED. These F1 drivers are something else

Maybe a daft question but will Alex have to pass a test to by the F1 to determine if he is physically fit to drive? I get he wants to he back but surely someone or some organisation would want to see medical records to say he is OK to drive. Just a thought.

Not a very exciting race but surely this must prove Latifi is not doing a good enough job. With Albon and De Vries they could be nicking points on a more regular basis.

Alonso is a lifer. He's never retiring. The only way an AM seat is becoming available is if he falls out with Lawrence Stroll.

I hope that the Alpine deal goes through for Pierre. It seems like the perfect opportunity for him. Staying with AT, there's always the threat of being dropped for a newer talent. Without even factoring in teammate drama, Alpine could go terribly wrong - messy management, car struggles etc, but I guess that's always the stress in F1.

Would Esteban, with his Toto connections, be a realistic candidate for the Mercedes seat when Lewis retires?

alonso will have to be dragged out of f1 against his will i wonder about the dynamic between him and both strolls too though - the more i think about it the less sense that move makes to me. though his explanation for it, and how he felt alpine treated him, is relevant. the chaos it caused though!

esteban for merc is a good shout! toto obviously still thinks highly of him, and i don’t know much of who the other junior drivers in their programmes are really if/when they lose nyck. imagine if it comes down to another esteban and pierre battle for that seat

Not sure he'd do commentary but gey who knows. I think maybe a bit of time if beckons for him with his young family that he clearly misses when away with F1. There might be 1 huge bee farm in Germany soon

What if he continues racing in a series like Extreme E maybe? Some good rallying and totally fits his cause. I’m not ready to lose Seb as a racing driver yet

But I feel like this thread was made to be more sport centric, and it's been a lot of thirst postz (a little is always welcome I'm not judging) and tired memes lately from people to take refuge from the other thread. Not really the discussion we usually have.

Lewis lives rent free in Nico's head. Nico will still be rattling on and on about how he beat Lewis Hamilton in equal machinery in 2016 when he is in his 70s no doubt

So when do we think the Yuki and Pierre divorce will be announced?

I'm gonna miss Yukierre so much. Yuki's gonna be devastated if his Pierre goes elsewhere.

i knew it was some kind of food related company! i wonder if williams lose that sponsor now, i don’t get the vibe of latifi being that petty though

i imagine williams want nyck, but apparently AT do too, but if were nyck i’d be running a mile from red bull whatever happens probably affects pierre, what an entanglement!

I do think Williams is the most probable one however I wonder if they’d genuinely go for Nyck as he’s ‘already’ 27? I mean obviously that’s a super young age still so please don’t get me wrong and I really love him as a big FE fan, however there’s been this trend with F1 teams recently where they choose to raise really young guys to settle a long term future. Red Bull kind of started it with Max, then Ferrari with Charles and I think next years McLaren line up really speaks to that as well.
Plus I heard he’s gonna do WEC?

Also, provisional starting grid is up! Charles is safe! Lovely Dutch fourth row as well
