i agree with you and if he was any other driver i feel he would be gone but i also feel there’s so much sentimentality and affection around mick that they’ll keep with him. i don’t know if that’s entirely fair but i could see it happening - a lot of people still want that ferrari fairy story for him.

he was a “big part of their team” because he was essentially managing his own race while driving 🫢 he almost certainly would have another wdc if ferrari hadn’t been so useless with him imo.I did wonder in his final season with them
It just occured to me that they seriously put the quali in the late afternoon and the race in the early afternoon, when the other way around (as they did in other seasons) they would have avoided clashing with Le Mans instead of clashing with it as much as possible.

I must say I liked the FIA under Todt more (not only because of this, Sulayem seriously is stuck a few decades back with everything if you read his interviews) - get that the scheduling is not down to them but you hear frictions between them and the FOM recently due to his leadership.

Yeah could do. Guess the other seat is McLaren. Interesting team that would be. But can certainly understand why he is not happy as overlooked again by Red Bull for money basically as Perez brings in a lot of money. No driver capability disrespect there.
It does feel like the only step up would be Mercedes, McLaren is currently more sideways move with potential to go forward. But there isn't really anywhere else to go, AM is poisonous while Stroll is there in terms of the way the organisation runs through him. Maybe a better option if Audi takeover.
Now THAT would be interesting - can’t wait to see what happens next year!
