They're just a huge distraction and get in the way (literally) of the racing/race event. Most just go because it's a flash ££ event and they want to mingle with the other rich celebrities. So boring.Sad Mick lost out on points

How stressful was that gridwalk?! Felt so sorry for the drivers trying to get in the right frame of mind with all that circus going on around them.
Sadly I wasn't. But I would kill for that job. Checking the fireproof underwear, and checking the jewellery situation.

I didn't think the race was that bad itself but everything surrounding it (the celebs, the podium being far away, the patches on the track??, the marina, etc) just bad.

Martin does do his research before a race and it’s on THE ACTUAL RACE. I’d like to see one of their football commentators come down to the track and know who all the drivers are I don’t mind Austin. It seems to have a decent midway between over the top Americanism and decent racing, but Miami and vegas are just PR stunts. I’m too young to remember the previous vegas GPs but I’ve read bits about them and they sounded hideous. After watching this weekend I dread to think how awful Vegas 2023 will be.
