I don't think it was deliberate, too much of a gamble to try that round Monaco. Easy to end up wrecking your race day.
I agree - it was a bit of a strange question. I mean he could have damaged his gearbox - just very strange Toto was asked about it.

I don't think it was deliberate either. Because a crash like that could easily end up in a gearbox change at the least. Why risk it. If you're going to do it deliberately you go nose first into the barrier out of La Rascasse and just break the front wing.

Are you all watching Ted interviewing Toto. Does anyone think Leclerc deliberately crashed his car? Toto is looking very uncomfortable with Ted asking him that same question.

Yeah - we’ve have enough rain this week - it’s only fair!
I think only Max would win with that.

Yeah - that sounds more likely. Leclerc seems a bit nervous about the gearbox issue. It was an odd question - unless Ted knows something more?

So I’m a bit cynical in my old age but it just seemed a bit of lazy interviewing. Everyone remembers Schumacher and rascasse so I suspect he did it just to get a reaction from Toto.

So Tom Holland is in the paddock. I quiet like him, I hope there will be a pic with Lando. They look alike!
But what is he promoting? Celebs are rarely into F1, they are always awkward.

I don't know, other than to say celebs have always been into hanging out on yachts in Monaco on F1 day.

Lando and Tom Holland together (and Tom's mate Harrison Osterfield). Sorry, my mind's gone to the gutter. 😂😂

Definitely need a Lando and Tom pic because they are quite lookalikes, and both suitably awkward, adorable and attractive.

They always get invited. Or just pop over from Cannes, you know some of them just follows where is a camera. But I think there was no festival this year. And most celebs can't name any driver only the one who is invited them.
Tom posed with the Red Bulls, so must be pr for them.

I love Seb.
Really wish he'd take a sabbatical for a year and then come back. I'm not sure he's in the right place mentally right now. Maybe it's having a young family.
I think he’s great and much more relaxed this year. Ferrari treated him appallingly. The way he was spoken to on Drive to Survive!!

I have said this before but I cannot believe in a sport like F1 you can have Jean Todt a former Ferrari man as the head of FIA and his son managing Charles, obviously a driver for Ferrari. It is such a huge conflict of interest. Jean Todt even tweeted a congratulatory post to Charles. Crazy.

In fairness he pretty much always tweets congratulatory posts to other drivers too.

But yeah, the conflict of interest is insane. Also besides Todt we also have Ross Brawn and Stefano Domenicali leading FOM and Nikolas Tombazis the FIA single seater commission. That's the whole Ferrari dream team of the early 2000s being in charge of F1!

In fairness, Brawn did create Brawn GP which later became Mercedes, so if he’s biased in any way it would be towards them.

These people are professionals, team politics aren’t at play once you leave the team.

Well, except that he didnt leave on good terms. He hates Toto's guts :p

But yeah, ultimately they are professionals, still funny though!

Charles makes a lot of mistakes. Maybe if he calms down and doesn’t believe he’s such a star already, he might be more successful.

Well yeah but aren't Ferrari partly at fault for saying the car was ok after checking it just take the penalty and put a new gearbox in. That seems a little daft to me

Yeah - they are partially at fault for sure. It’s clearly a risk that hasn’t paid off.
