I realise that I just keep turning up and shouting random stuff at you all and leaving again but I don’t want you to think I’m some terrible misogynist or racist or something so I’ll tell you that I’ve just not been able to keep up. I told you guys that JamBoy was looking at redundancy and I was feeling the old responsibility hard - this is just amplified by everything going on in the world, work being super hard, the patriarchy, people dying in the channel etc. We were hoping to think about being lucky enough to start a family soon (am so conscious there are no guarantees in that area) but now just does not feel the time!

Anyway I’ll keep on chipping in but forgive me, if it’s poorly inserted random outbursts. Sometimes I think it’a a bit like when you’re on a train and there’s a hilarious group of hen gals at the next table and they’re just the right side of tipsy and really funny and they keep catching you laughing at what they’re saying. You guys are the hens and I’m just a weirdo on the train chortling at you. Hope you’re all ok. Flumps sounds like you’ve had a torrid time, BBS - what’s for you won’t pass you by whatever happens with the job, HTRIA I hope work stuff keeps looking up for your possible return, Poc I was in your neck of the woods the other day and I died to think you might be close by. Anyway too many others of you to mention. Just didn’t want to be that lurky weirdo who once told you about a chocolate bar and then turned up to holler stuff like that old man at a bus stop
I don’t think this thread has any ongoing conversation to it that’s the great thing we all come and go passing the hen party table on the way to the loo 😂 your first paragraph - the world is such a hard place, whatever brings you joy you must look forward to

I’ve done the precursor to internet dating, where you write in reply to ads. I usually always arranged to meet them near my home in a pub, cafe etc so I could easily get home by walking. One guy was divorced with kids and halfway through our conversation invited me to his holiday home in Spain when he took his kids on their school holiday. Was gobsmacked and politely declined. Didn’t fancy him at all.

Went to local M&S Foodhall today and was told to get in the queue outside (which I hadn’t even seen) after I had walked in and got a trolly. It wasn’t long to wait but I was surprised that there was a queue. Noticed queuing outside a bank too. I only went in to get some ciabatta to have with my melted Scamorza, tomatoes and basil salad which I had as my first meal of the day. By contrast I walked into the local Co-Op which was virtually empty. They did have plenty of doughnuts !

There is a cafe in Camberwell called Corner Store and they have cruller doughnuts which are on my list to investigate. There is also a cafe called SE Cakery that do lovely baked goods including duffIns which are a cross between muffins and doughnuts. The latter recently started doing mail order around the country so it’s worth checking them out on Instagram.

I wanted to big up another bakery in Deptford - Bread and Butler - which reopened in lockdown for takeaway and delivery They have amazing cardamom buns, as well as cinnamon buns, different types of croissants and various breads including focaccia. You can eat inside or outside now, as well as takeaway. It’s dog friendly too.

In New Cross, Mughead Coffee is another great cafe with delicious cinnamon buns, the kind with icing.

The latter three all have Instagram accounts. 😊👌🏼☺

Agreed, the world won’t get any better for depriving yourself of the joy of parenthood. The only thing we can do is equip children with the skills & the will to make a difference with how the world is currently. It’s been depressing seeing what an absolute gulf there is between need & the welfare state, I hope people remember this and vote differently next GE but who knows. I don’t want to derail this thread.

Funnily this week found the fostering stuff quite triggering but didn’t want to go into details on that thread as it’s highly visible? I nearly came over here to share but thought I didn’t wanna kill the vibe (this isn’t a u ok hun x moment I promise 😂) and I’m glad I didn’t if people are print screening 🥴 I hope our discussion of post birth sheds isn’t sitting about someone’s screen shots folder 😂

I'm making Lasagne for dinner, it's my daughters favourite & after 6 terrible months stuck with her twattish ex, she's finally got the keys to her new house today so we're having a little woo-hoo.
(I've left out the fish fingers, sausages etc & haven't so much as looked at a picture of Mister Ed).

However, when it's cooked I'll probably strip down to my undies & drape myself over the Furniture Village coffee table with a portion in a jelly mold clutched betwixt my grubby hands...they'll just have to wait to eat until I've uploaded to my SM.

Is this how Jack feels? I don’t really want to say anything now! ☹ Gonna eat some potatoes and if Jack tweets a literal mea culpa for her whole career they can screenshot it themselves. 🤷🏻‍♀️

long comment sorry but don’t, love your service to the coven and your quick one liners are fab. Ignore it, it was bigoted opinions being discussed and that’s that. ❤

Aww good for you both, I bet that's quite a relief.

duck me, do I have to come on this thread now to get my dose of hilarity? I’ll have to jettison one of the Rebeccas so I can keep up.

Thought I'd come and say hi! I haven't been able to keep up with the main thread and this one since the first F&D chat (when I got some amazing Ocado recommendations) so I've just stuck with the Jack stuff.

Anyway, it's all gone a bit odd again over there so I might just camp out here for a while if that's ok?

By the way, do I need to read thread 12 to find out more about willies and mash?

ETA I mean Thread 11!

Dear heart I think you’ve posted in the wrong thread x

Hi, evil hags 🥳
I’ve traipsed all the way over from the MOTHER THREAD to show my allegiance and solidarity with the F&D fraus. I haven’t been over for a while, I sort of can’t do both. My brain has too many things being juggled, I’m busy! I might duck Jack off for a bit and hang out over here for the lolz, and the food porn. I’m so sad and angry with the world, and frustrated with actual real life tit, that I don’t think it’s doing me any good to just add to that frustration by following a narcissist’s antics.
