@traumatised sideboard, hopefully you are feeling better and the pizza hasn’t made you feel worse.....

For anyone who thinks baked beans on a pizza is bad. I saw cauliflower on one the other day (not in the base, actually on the top, in florets) ( edit as pic keeps going missing).

All these catto pics are fabulous, we have a floofbomb living in our street called Edgar, who I have adopted. He doesn’t know this yet. He sits in leaves all day pretending to be a cream rock. I love him.

Objection! This pizza is really nice, and one of my favourite things from Aldi! I'm not even vegan (my other favourite is Aldi's Etna pizza, which is salami and nduja).

Just catching up. Also had an email from the school asking parents to only send their children if they are key workers, can’t work from home or be looked after at home by another adult. They have more children in now than they did in the last lockdown. I can’t imagine it’s at all easy to work from home though AND look after/homeschool children. Sounds impossible actually!

I typed some really doom and gloom comment about this week but thought, “It’s Friday night. Don’t depress the fraus.” It’s been an emotional week. Hormones and the current situation has got a bit much. I have Magic Stars and Flumps and many episodes of This Is Us to watch tonight which should do the trick.

I’ve never watched This Is Us so I’m looking forward to our cosy evening in. x

@Pocahontas that is a shifty gremlin face if ever I did see one, I love ❤

@Into_the_tunnel I've had that one too! It was not very nice but unbelievably the cauliflower aspect was actually the least objectionable part.

@PunkyMonkey, @heretoreaditall2019 and @Switchstreetz thank you, dear hearts! I made the mistake of looking up COVID timelines and freaked myself out by people saying they felt much better at the one week mark only to regress: it's day six today and I woke up feeling worryingly good. This is the first day I've felt frustrated at not being able to go outside. Nobody open the spoiler unless you want to read a load of self-pitying drivel.

I was already struggling mentally before I became riddled with COVID, I haven't had any support from anyone since the pandemic started. What JM doesn't realise is that if you are #ActuallyAutistic you quite often get turned away from mental health services because they admit they don't know what to do with you so now I don't really know what I'm supposed to do. I got very morbid in bed last night and was thinking about how horrible dying from COVID would be and how if I did die, nobody would know about it because I'm shut in here all alone until next Wednesday. I did say it was morbid 😂 It doesn't help that I haven't had any nicotine in over 24 hours and I'm ready to start climbing the walls but I did bring that one upon myself.

Sorry everyone, I don't want to turn this thread into a pity party for one. I would like to see more Soviet-era ephemera! I have a set of books about Russian criminal tattoos that I find fascinating. So many dicks, really an alarming number of penises.

Oooh, which one is it? I had my eye on the series of Danzig Baldaev but cannot justify the purchase at all so I'm stuck with google research 😂 I've read Thief in Law by M.G.Bullen which is about the history and origins of the Russian mafia. It also had a small section on prison tattoos. Very interesting stuff.

(Sorry to anyone who could not care less about this 🙈)

I've got Thief-in-Law and the full set of Baldaev books including one that's on playing cards with some tattoos in (very interesting, has examples of actual cards and discusses the card culture within prisons) as well as Russian Criminal Tattoo Police Files. There's also a documentary called The Mark of Cain by Alix Lambert and it has an accompanying book by the same name. The Baldaev ones are definitely worth it, they are the definitive collection on the subject.

I can't claim to be an expert but being autistic and somewhat medically trained I am here if you need to melt down in a specific direction 🥰

Was just checking for sheep pics but wanted to say @traumatised sideboard one covid symptom which does not get mentioned and most people get is the “long dark night of the soul” as a professional covider I can empathize.
It does not follow the usual ways an infection goes and that’s quite unnerving. Added to the global pandemic *gestures all around* it’s a really super duper bad combo for mental health. I did find online threads helpful at those times, there is always someone who understood. Hope you feel brighter soon
