I feel really bad for Fleur. She seemed quite bubbly in her Q&A, but I think she was really forcing it. Two miscarriages and a thyroid condition must be really tough. No matter how priviliged someone might appear, we're all humans and we can all feel pain and experience challenges. I appreciate that she isn't trying to hide that. (unlike youtubers like Niomi who loves to pretend that everything is perfect 100% of the time.)

I think she is brilliant, and there is something so refreshing and honest about her content at the minute. She just seems really comfortable and in control and it comes across on camera.

I think she just had a hard time adjusting to being a parent. Hopefully if they have more children, she'll be able to continue enjoying it the way she seems to enjoy spending time with River now. I actually think Fleur manages to strike a pretty good balance of acknowledging her child exists whilst not having her be the main focus of the channel, so it would be interesting to see if she maintained that balance if she were to have more kids.

Maybe I’m being naive but she might just be putting out whatever she finds interesting at the moment? I feel like compared to most influencers, Fleur isn’t nearly as meticulous about planning out her content. That’s not to say that she doesn’t care about pandering to her subscribers but I’ve always found her channel to be very reflective of her current life and interests.

I agree with you on this one. I think it’s obvious from her vlogs (or lack of) that she’s going through some personal stuff at the moment, so can’t really blame her for uploading a video about something she’s clearly passionate about, to help take her mind off things maybe.

I loved the Q&A as well. She was very real, without obnoxiously oversharing for the sake of seeming relatable. I felt terrible watching her "laugh away the pain" at certain points in the video.

People have lost their lives due to the tory party policies, social mobility is worse than ever, and all our data is being sold to American venture capitalists so actually no I wouldn't be friends with a Tory. Not to mention Brexit and the inexcusable handling of the pandemic.

Of course I will dislike someone for having political opinions that betray all of my personal morals.

This just seems like common sense to me but I'm working class and Scottish so I guess I've been told from birth that you don't vote Tory and you don't make friends with people who do...

Either way, I don't think liking their personality is a bad thing, especially when they don't actively express their political leanings. Even if we know they probably do vote Tory, I can still appreciate that I think Fleur is a nice enough woman and a good mum and I like her content. There's a difference to me between investing into a friendship with someone who doesn't have the same morals or political beliefs as me, and consuming content of someone who probably votes differently but doesn't ever mention their views.

That just isn't true and it is shaming. It isn't more important for fleur to stay home vs mike, it isn't any more her job to parent than mike's.
This sort of shit is what limits women because people perpetuate this idea that *mothering* is more important than parenting and kids are women's work.

She has always been a lot more private than other vloggers, and seems to have a better understanding of 'the internet' and its dangers. I don't think we've seen a nappy change or even River asleep in bed.
Still, not the same as the headless baby we saw for the first few months.

As people have mentioned, she is privileged and lives a different life than your average youtuber or even normal person. I’m guessing the pandemic hasn’t been good for her or Mike but I doubt they’re struggling to pay the bills.

I don’t think I’d categorically stop being friends with or not befriend a person because they were a Tory but I would certainly want to know their reasoning for voting the way they do.

The commenter is a cow and Fleur was a lot nicer in her reply than I'd be.

Yeah that was a great response from Fleur to a pretty dumb comment. I didn't even get from her video that she puts ALL of her happiness in having another child, she simply talked about hoping to become pregnant again, especially after two recent miscarriages. She and Mike just hope for more children and want to keep trying, like lots of other people. What an insensitive, stupid comment.

Oh my goodness becky. Her titles are massive clickbait, and she spends 99% of her content blathering on about crap and never gets to the point. She’s not said anything interesting since the breakup announcement and still hasn’t said what the massive drama was, despite going on and on about there being something. Wouldn’t blame fleur for ditching her because she seems like a bag of crazy now.

I think Louise also posted something like “good luck today” to Fleur on Twitter the day she went into hospital to have River, even though Fleur hadn’t publicised the date. Everyone knew she was in hospital then.
