I think I would be desperate if I’d got 40 staff to pay from selling burnt cookiesThe desperation is strong
I actually have Crohns so everything I eat makes me sick so perhaps that’s why I don’t noticeYou must have the stomach of steel then![]()
That sounds more like it. I live in the Ribble Valley and that sounds about right. Their parents’ house could have been just in the Ribble Valley, but not in one of the villages, so not as expensive.Their houses were 425k and 450k![]()
I was just going to say the same! Plus the ones on the back looked sunk in the middle! Which was probably why the others had tit on top of them! To hide it. Whoever is doing the baking needs sacking. My teenager bakes better cookies. How embarrassing. They have to be trolling us with these burnt cookies, bleeping Harvey Nichols and they look like you could take a window out with them man![]()
I can confirm cake tin brownies are amazinggggggg. Miles better than finchI’ve just looked at cake tin bakery……carbon copy of finch…..who did it first???

Yep! I had Cake Tin at the Cake & Bake show in Manchester quite a few years ago, think they’ve been well known for a while. Without Insta I think FB would have died before COVID.I believe cake tin bakery start in 2012 where as finch was around 2016
Bet it’s well sweet and stodgy AF too 🫠 who goes to a cake shop to buy crumble?!I know cost of living crisis has made everything go up but there’s no chance I’d pay £5 for a portion of apple crumble and custard/cream/squirty creamyour pay that in a restaurant. Apple Crumble is probably one of the cheapest and least time consuming desserts you could ever make.
I think they're hoping the same people who go to Isabakes for her desserts will go to them aswellBet it’s well sweet and stodgy AF too 🫠 who goes to a cake shop to buy crumble?!
I used to love cake tin and order it for delivery almost weekly! I’ve stopped now because I’m been on a health kick for ages now and I don’t really crave stuff like that anymore because I’ve weened myself offI get it in the dessert parlours, Kaspa’s etc. But not a takeaway one for a fiver when you can buy Aunt Bessie’s for £1 if you can’t be bothered to make one.
Oh and I love Cake Tin, had a few drives out and bought way way way too much when I was pregnant, but I needed the sugar.
Deffo overpriced and they’re more slabs of stuff squashed together than actual cake/baked good though.
I don’t really understand tax statements etc but if you look on the government website to say they have big machinery etc the assets within the business seem very smallI honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down the shop or unit
