Their houses were 425k and 450k 👀
That sounds more like it. I live in the Ribble Valley and that sounds about right. Their parents’ house could have been just in the Ribble Valley, but not in one of the villages, so not as expensive.

I was just going to say the same! Plus the ones on the back looked sunk in the middle! Which was probably why the others had tit on top of them! To hide it. Whoever is doing the baking needs sacking. My teenager bakes better cookies. How embarrassing.

I believe cake tin bakery start in 2012 where as finch was around 2016
Yep! I had Cake Tin at the Cake & Bake show in Manchester quite a few years ago, think they’ve been well known for a while. Without Insta I think FB would have died before COVID.

I know cost of living crisis has made everything go up but there’s no chance I’d pay £5 for a portion of apple crumble and custard/cream/squirty cream 😳 your pay that in a restaurant. Apple Crumble is probably one of the cheapest and least time consuming desserts you could ever make.

I get it in the dessert parlours, Kaspa’s etc. But not a takeaway one for a fiver when you can buy Aunt Bessie’s for £1 if you can’t be bothered to make one.

Oh and I love Cake Tin, had a few drives out and bought way way way too much when I was pregnant, but I needed the sugar.
Deffo overpriced and they’re more slabs of stuff squashed together than actual cake/baked good though.

I used to love cake tin and order it for delivery almost weekly! I’ve stopped now because I’m been on a health kick for ages now and I don’t really crave stuff like that anymore because I’ve weened myself off 😂 but it’s sooooo bloody good! Everything’s just so tasty and I never had anything under or over cooked like you get at finch

They just seem to jump on any band wagon they can like the deep dish cookies atm that’s all they advertise. They need to stick to something they’re good at (not much tbh) rather than keep jumping on the latest trend especially when they’re burnt to a crisp lol

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down the shop or unit
I don’t really understand tax statements etc but if you look on the government website to say they have big machinery etc the assets within the business seem very small
