It's just weird man. Fair enough if it was coincidence but if not what did they do, coordinate when to go to poundtown with their other halves? What a bleeping weird conversation to have. Hi Lauren hun, I'm pregnant so like, can you go and get on it with Ed now? Much obliged babe, btw shall we do sticky toffee cupcakes for the baby shower? x
I’m sure they’ll post a screenshot of pretty much this WhatsApp conversation soon enough 🤣

Maybe super fertile ladies don’t realise how sensitive a topic pregnancy can be but I’ve had to unfollow them for ramming it down everyone’s throats while I’m struggling with fertility problems, and follow them for brownies and the occasional funny post. I’ve followed them since they baked from their parents kitchen and I’m a regular visitor to their shop, but I don’t personally know them so why would I care about their pregnancies to the point of pregnancy test and bump photos? Very insensitive of them regardless of the excitement in what is a happy time for them, on a business page.

I wouldn't say they are ramming it down everyone's throats. A lot of people who follow them love their life updates so it probably doesn't occur to them that there's people who solely follow them for cake related stuff. I mean it should saying as it's there business page, but they don't strike me as the most self aware of folk.

There have been an incredible amount of posts about it so I agree with you here.

They should’ve kept their personal accounts open and put all this stuff on there.

Yes you’re right it was a bad choice of words from myself, ramming it down everyone’s throat definitely isn’t correct I take that back.
I do think they’re funny sometimes and I love how they’ve come on and built up their business etc but it’s just too much focus on such a sensitive and difficult topic for so many people. It’s already difficult if you’re struggling conceiving, dealing with people you know getting pregnant and being happy for them, let alone tolerating it on such a personal level from people you follow mainly for their business.

I don’t see the point of private Instagram accounts when they’re still posting the entirety of their personal life on the bakery page. Just one story/photo about the pregnancy would suffice.
I don’t follow anymore but did see their stories. It was a lot of pregnancy content IMO. Thinking of you @message me too

They’re so careless about pregnancy though and I think that’s what irks people. They’ve both times both gotten knocked up at a sniff, and then they’re so throwaway about it. Drinking, partying, complaining, sharing odd messages day in day out about “knowing they were pregnant the second the sperm hit the egg” etc. This isn’t a private account, they need to remember they have a lot of followers who don’t like the surprise announcements and carelessness but follow for the cake and tips etc.
It’s a kick in the teeth for a lot of people. They’re not humble about it.

They aren't humble about *anything* so I'm not sure why people would expect tact with this lol.

Exactly and I do feel like some of it is just crass bragging. I don’t think it’s just my own bitterness as there are people that have been trying much much longer than me, I’m young and I have time and options left, so as much as I am sad for myself I am thinking of other female followers more. The older ladies who are child free but not by choice, or the followers who’s IVF has failed, maybe multiple times. The ladies that like myself have received Diagnosis’s that mean they have to take medication with horrible side effects just to try and ovulate, and track 3 things at once to see if the dose is working. Anybody that has obsessively tried knows that there isn’t a chance of a positive result on a blue dye test at 7DPO (7 days before her missed period as stated) and that is an indent that so many of us have stared at month after month and wasted hundreds of pounds on only to never get a positive result. Some things should be kept on private pages if they really want to post them publicly and not keep them between friends and family. I even love their posts about their children, that’s not triggering because how can you avoid living children on social media and I’m happy for them they can have happy healthy children, but they’ve just gone too far with over sharing in my opinion.

That's not fair.... One of them took a month longer 🤣 She must be spitting feathers she had to wait that long.
Probably 😂😂
But that they’ve both decided to try for babies that will arrive in December, and kit was born in December?
I mean I don’t know about you, but I tried to avoid birthdays of other young children in the family. All 3 of them are going to have basically the same birthday.
wonder how the finch mum will cope with 2 newborns when they duck off on a night out a week after they arrive?

I think this is a bit of a tough one really. People say on here that they don’t want to hear about their personal lives, but when they do polls/question boxes a lot of the replies are more personal things - bump updates, house updates, Alba & Kit. I know Tessa’s lives got really good responses as she’s so funny and really engaging and I think a lot of people miss them now she’s no longer working there. I don’t think they can win either way, they stop posting personal stuff and people ask where it’s gone. And then they post personal things and people don’t like it. I’ve found they keep it more to cakes on Facebook, so maybe if you’re finding the pregnancy posts uncomfortable but still want to see the cake action you could maybe follow them on there? It must be hard seeing it all the time and feeling like other people are bragging about their fertility if you have struggled.

I can see both sides, especially as I myself used to be very blasé about fertility and think having a baby was easy for everybody. I just think people should be more aware and less crass about such things, especially when posting as a business. Keep it to the personal pages and make them unprivate, after all what is the point in having your personal pages private and deleting all followers to then post photos of your pregnancy tests and every detail about your conception to a mix of followers that don’t even care and that weirdly do care.

I get where people are coming from about the personal account however they have built this ‘brand’ on not just cakes, but their lives. Lauren clearly didn’t announce she was pregnant until she’s 14/15 weeks so she could have quite easily done at 12 and then again when she had the gender. I enjoy their content, albeit I am glad most of the personal stuff is kept off the Finch Bakery account

Does anyone know what the lawn story is? I remember when the live came out but as I went to watch it, it got deleted 😂😂
