I have a couple of large pieces of Rose Quartz, both are reasonably large, roughly about one and a half times my fist, or 4" x 3" x 3" (it is an irregular shape so pretty tricky to measure).

How big a rose quartz crystal for the center of the house would be appropriate? Or how small to still work? I'm looking for one and the sizes range all over the place.

My money toad arrived on Tuesday. I put it on red paper and placed it at hip level (wallet level) facing the living room. I made sure to think of my intentions as I placed it. Curiously, the very next day something I've been searching for for close to 15 years became available and I snapped it up. It was a bargain too, half the price I would have been wiling to pay for it. Not sure if the money toad had anything to do with that, but it's something I've been very keen to have and had never seen it available online until yesterday. Last night my husband told me we've had a verrrry good week in our investments. YAY!

So get those money froggies everyone and set your intentions!
I have quite a big rose quartz and will eventually put a photo up to show you. I was told by my FSM to get the biggest one I could find so its a big baby. However, in my bedroom I have much smaller ones the size of small pebbles. I might go with one you feel attracted to most - one that ‘speaks’ to you. If you want to re-energise them you can put them outside to bathe in either full moonlight or new moonlight. I can never remember which but suspect he told me full moonlight. (First night).

Great to hear your money toad arrived so quickly. You have had 2 very interesting things happen. Things can and often do happen quickly when you tap into a certain energy. The toad is an emblem of intention and where intention is made the energy follows. (It can’t not - its energy). So if you have two things happen so quickly I’d pat your toad on the head and say thank you! :m What I am about to say next will probably make you label me as barking bonkers - but nevertheless I will take the risk to say it. Ahem...

My FSM told me to turn mine round the other way at weekends to give him a little time out and to give him a months holiday every year. I snorted at him when he said that. However, he came back at me with this - Do you give the people who work with you the weekend off? I said yes. He then said Do you give those people who work with you paid holidays? I said yes, of course. He then said Your toad is working harder for you than you might ever know and should be afforded the same respect. I am not being prescriptive here I’m just saying what I was told by a very wise man. I got my crystal toad less than a year ago so he still hasn’t been given a holiday but it is due...Just sayin’ :m

That makes perfect sense to me. It feels like it is in the spirit of thanking our belongings for their service. You may think me bonkers for this: I talk to our car. I pat the wheel and thank her for getting me/us safely to our destinations or home. (I've named her Bertha as she's a chunky SUV - LOL)

Therefore I will follow your wise FSM's direction and give our toad its weekends off and make sure to give it a months holiday too. Thank you so much for sharing, and make sure yours takes its holiday. He will come back refreshed!

Its so interesting that you say you hate the feeling with your back to the door. THIS is a perfect example of you knowing the energy isn‘t right for you. If you can you should face into a room when at your desk. So two things - are you above to re-jig your wfh office to enable this and can you ask to change your desk at work or sit facing the other way? Try it out for 2 weeks at home and just see if the energy feels better for you. :m
Moving my home desk is easily done, so will try that and see if I feel the difference. I read your later post re the desk plants. I currently have a little cacti on my desk  so I shall move that and find something more suitable to put in its place. x

Interesting thread.
I used to be interested in Feng Shui many years ago but since I moved house I’d not even thought about it.

Re the energy clap on Sunday...
Now this is probably going to sound so stupid but please bear with me as I’m extremely sensitive at the moment.
I lost my dad last month. Last time he was in my home was on Christmas Day.
I’m worried if I do the clap to clear the energy then I’ll be clearing him away at the same time and I couldn’t do that.
Am I being silly? It’s all still very raw right now and I like to feel that he is still around me (even if he’s not) and I don’t want to lose that feeling.
Thank you.

Welcome and thank you for your post. You have suffered a very big loss indeed. I really get what you are saying - completely and it does NOT sound stupid. I will go and have a think before I reply to that because I don’t want to say the wrong thing. Did your father go in all your rooms when he was with you over Christmas please? Sending you warmest, warmest wishes .

Protem if this helps - when you clap you can open your windows and ask all negative energy to leave and all positive energy to remain. You might also specifically request all good energy attached to your father to remain.

I’m wondering what @PixelGirl might think about this too please?

@50sGirl I am so sorry to read about the recent death of your father ❤
When you clear the energy, the energy that is leaving is the stale, stagnant energy, not the tender energy. If you open the windows as you go from room to room. I would work upstairs to downstairs, but I think it's how it feels best for you. If you have a room diffuser, one of those electrical ones that mists, then you could add as you work some lavender oil, eucalyptus is good for cleansing and grief, mint is good for prosperity. Set your intention, you are asking the negative energy to leave your home and for the energy to be replenished. When you feel you have finished, you'll know when then hopefully the energy should feel lighter. When you've finished, personally, I would simply offer thanks to your home. (Mind you I thank my house every night for keeping us safe and sheltered.)

After this is done, I would sit quietly, maybe with some herb tea, keep the diffuser going if you can, the smell will fill your home. If you have a photograph of your father in a frame, then place it in front of you and light a candle. Close your eyes, breathe in and out deeply and speak to him, do this whenever you feel you need to say something to him, you don't have to speak it out loud, just in your mind is good. The light of a candle flame is supposed to bridge a crossing between this world and the world of those that have passed.

So very sorry for your loss. I can totally understand your reservations about clapping to clear energy so precious to you. I remember when my father died, my toddler - at the time - used to go looking for him every time we went to his house. She would go instinctively to all of his most familiar places in the home - his greenhouse, his wardrobe, etc and call his name as if we had hidden him. You have raised such an interesting question. Sending heartfelt commiserations on your recent loss.

I agree with everything @PixelGirl has said. If it helps you @50’sGirl when my father died I put a photo and some of his belongings (he collected pocket watches) and a candle on a table. I used this a lot as a focus point and it comforted me enormously just to sit nearby with the candle burning whilst I thought of him.

The purpose of clapping is just to energise your surroundings for you. Having had a bit of a think about your case though I might be tempted to say if it doesn’t feel right just now or if you have any hesitation why don’t you wait until you are feeling a little better perhaps? I am sure everyone here will think of you and send you the energy you need to support you if you choose to clap at a later stage. You can clap your corners at some time in the future if it doesn’t feel right now. It‘s something to consider.

Also, if its any help, your father’s energy cannot be diminished since you can‘t destroy energy. Tesla and Einstein believed in reincarnation because you cannot destroy energy. As I’m sure you know they were 2 of the greatest scientists ever. Perhaps reading about Tesla may help you understand energy a little better if you haven’t looked at his history before. He was a truly altruistic man and all of his good ideas and patents were taken from him and capitalised on by others like Edison (light bulb) and government agencies allegedly after his death. Yet he carried on examining the power of energy even though he was not rewarded for it himself. He famously said ”If you want to understand the secrets of the universe think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.“ I really hope some of this will help you a little. 💛

@Oops... comment has reminded me @50sGirl as you sit and think of him, if he had something like a watch, it is good to hold that in your hands. When we wear things we embed them with our energy, so something like a wristwatch is good, as is a wedding ring. Another thing that is good is maybe to make a cushion using one of his favourite shirts, something you can keep close. Always remember that your Dad lives on in you, his genes are yours so you're forever connected anyhow x

This subject reminded me of a piece I've read some time ago, which had brought unexpected comfort to me. I hope it's relevant and I hope it'll be reassuring and comforting for you too.

Thank you for all your kind words.
I don't think I’ll do it this weekend but perhaps next month I’ll feel more able - I think you said it would be a monthly thing.
Dad was disabled so he has never been upstairs in this house and at Christmas he was just in our living room and dining room. I think perhaps it’s too soon for me.
He was such an optimistic and positive man.
I am a pessimist by nature so I want to change and be more like him which is why I don’t want to lose his positivity. 🥰

@50sGirl, My deepest condolences for the loss of your precious Dad. Sending you big hugs. You'll know what you can and can't do. I think skipping the clapping is advisable if you have even the tiniest of doubts over it. Keep listening to your instincts.

I can’t wait to hear how everybody else got on with their clapping today 🧡 I’ve been distracted by one of my cats being sick and also having to rescue a poor starling that got stuck in our loft so I haven’t clapped today. I’m thinking of doing it tomorrow morning instead

Hi, everyone. Beautiful, sunny day in Dublin. Great day for great energy. Used the diy orange peel spray instead of sage, did my energy clap with nature music via youtube and wore a white shirtdress just to add to the vibe. Teens let me down and wouldn’t get out of bed and complained bitterly that my clapping awoke them. Ha! For a first time, am very proud of self! ❤

I didn't do it today myself, I have some things I need to sort first, but well-done @Milking Keynes the thought of your teenagers groaning about you waking them up made me laugh.

I think I did it? I clapped and clapped, holding my arms up and then bending down to clap the bottoms of the corners (is that a thing??), and then started laughing and laughing. I should have put the new puppy outside or something. In my new puppy exhaustion I completely forgot the point of him not being around whilst his mummy clapped the bad energy out. He thought it was fantastic though, standing up next to me and jumping around.

I may try again tomorrow. I hadn't thought to wear something purifying (like white). Sounds like a good idea. Might even put lipstick on, haven't done that in a year!

So I don't know if I did it right, but I do feel joyful, hence I'm counting it a win.

p.s. I really feel like I could feel everyone else's intentions. Might be fanciful thinking or I'm hormonal or something. But still, I felt *something*.
