Today I wore this for the first time after being recommended it by the Dior sales assistant in Dublin airport last month. I'm terrible at descriptions but It really is a lovely fragrance 😍

I tried a few I was really looking forward to and was mostly disappointed.

Kayali - Yum Pistachio Gelato: on paper this should be THE perfect perfume for me. It was so bad I had to wash my wrist after trying it on.
Kayali - Vanilla: Love vanilla so should also love this one - it smelled cheap and I didn't like it at all.
TF Vanilla Sex - after I sprayed it it was the most horrible perfume I've ever tried. Smelled so bad! But after it dried down it was actually so so nice. I have no idea how it can go from something so bad to something actually pleasant. Would never buy it because I would be dying for the first hour tho 😂
Lattafa Khamrah: Blind buy but it actually smells like apple cinnamon pie, I like it. Will be better for winter I think and also everyone says it gets better after a while so I'm happy with it.
Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Mandorlo di Sicilia: Love it. Very summery to me and what I imagined Kayali Yum would be. Will probably purchase next summer.
TF - Soleil Blanc: I finally caved in and bought it. Really really pleased with it, summer in a bottle. Probably the only thing I'll be wearing from now till september. :D

I found my Victoria Beckham samples in a drawer today. Out of all of them, the one that has aged the best is the Portofino one, smells absolutely divine. I really really don't need another bottle of perfume ....but it smells really really good.........

Margiela are so overpriced given the last three and a half seconds!
what are everyone’s favourite long lasters?!
I think ysl and Guerlain (not the aqua allegorias) tend to hang in there in general.
Recent samples from Amouage - Love Delight and Guidance . Both beasts for longevity.

Other goodies - initio parfum - Atomic Rose, MFK - BR540 , Ella K - Musk K ( pumped up version of Glossier -You), Penhaligons - Halfeti

Recent discovery - BDK - Tabac Rose ( took me by surprise as I love Gris Charnel but longevity isn’t the best on me).

affordable numbers - lots of Zara frags are good performers - Lost Cherry, Rose Gourmand , Hipster Oud and Perpetual Oud all give me a good days wear. I also get a good wear out of Miss Dior as well.

Tips for making perfumes last a bit longer? I finally got a full bottle of opium black over red but it’s not that all long lasting…
Back of a dark cupboard/wardrobe for a few weeks... Don't know why but it absolutely works. I have JM wood sage and sea salt which used to last about 90 mins max on me, left it in my wardrobe for a few months and now it lasts all day :) x

I am an "oldie" and my all time favourite perfume is Azuree by Estee Lauder. I started wearing this back in the 70s. They stopped selling this in places where you could buy Estee Lauder products except Selfridges in London which was the only place you could buy it. I believe they have re-introduced it but I have read it is not the same.

Would you ask someone if you smelled a nice perfume on them? I did many years ago to a lady who used to get the same bus as me to work. Every morning I got the most divine smell of her perfume. She told me it was by Sisley and all these years later I could not remember which one so treated myself recently to two bottles one of Soir de Lune and one of Eau du Soir. It is very expensive though but got them on a John Lewis deal.

I also like Chanel No 5, Prada Paradoxe, Armani Si and Burberry Goddess.

One that would bring back teenage memories is Cachet. Used to drown myself in that before going out 🤣
I often ask people, my curiosity is greater than fear of potential embarrassment

Vivienne Westwood Boudoir 😢
JLo Miami Glow
Coco Mademoiselle
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino (although I’d take 4711 as they are similar and it was one of the first perfumes I ever had - age 8)
Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin

I got given a bottle of Creed Windflowers and I was so disappointed as it just didn't smell that great on me, but funnily enough I've not touched it for 6 months - am wearing today and it smells completely different. I've no idea why....

If you had to pick only five perfumes to wear for the rest of your life, what would you pick?
I’m gonna think about mine and come back because this is a hard question 🤣
This has been niggling my brain since last night! I'm going for:

Chanel Chance Eau Vive
Gucci Bamboo
Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
Tom Ford Fucking Fabulous

I've fallen further into the Arabian fragrance tiktok rabbit hole and what a revelation. I got Kismet Angel as I heard it was like Khamrah but very like Killian Angel's Share. Which I've never smelled but it sounds very me. It is stunning too and different to Khamrah but still that heavy drunken sweet sexy smell.
I then ordered Kismet for Women (meant to be like Killian's GGBB) and two other ones I can't remember. They are so cheap and so strong that I am questioning why perfume is so expensive. The packaging is really nice too, heavy bottles and fancy boxes.
