Today I tried By The Fireplace - it does what it says! Smell like I have been standing next to a bonfire; don’t like it.

I found my Victoria Beckham samples in a drawer today. Out of all of them, the one that has aged the best is the Portofino one, smells absolutely divine. I really really don't need another bottle of perfume ....but it smells really really good.........

An ongoing dilemma for perfumistas...

Neroli Portofino is my absolute FAVE ever ever I am so jealous! If anyone has any recommendations for dupes please let me know as I cannot afford to repurchase

This one is pretty dead on as a dupe. I have simply blanc which is a Soleil blanc dupe and can’t fault it. I will say they may have discontinued it as it seems to be out of stock in a lot of places online but worth digging around for as it’s cheap.

Think I’m going to treat myself to Mugler Alien with my Boots points. Does anyone know if you buy in store they’ll give a few perfume samples these days?

Side note I really hate how most shops don’t give those little samples anymore. I need to wear a scent a day or two to decide on it not sprayed onto a piece of paper. Used to be more common many years ago 🥲

I love L’Interdit. I wear it loads and I’m only in my 40’s. I do like Givenchy perfumes as a rule though- my very favourite is L’Accord Particular but I very rarely wear it as it’s so expensive- my last bottle lasted me three years! I’m aiming for similar with this one

I have Good Girl Blush too. My mum bought it for me for Christmas as she knows I love Good Girl. It’s nice, but I don’t like it as much as the original.

I also have to report back re the Charlotte Tilbury perfume. I layered it with Molecule 01 and I had several compliments from people who said I smelled amazing. I can also confirm that the seductive properties of both perfumes work

I was in the chemist the other day and tried this. Smells lush.

Speaking of Narciso, My husband wears this and I think it's just as gorgeous as the Bleu de Chanel. I'd almost wear it myself.

I've really gone back to basics after a year of buying at least a dozen perfumes after trying a sample and realising after two wears that it's either too cloying or disappears after an hour.

superdrug had 150ml of Ghost original for £32 and as I wore it years ago I thought it's a bargain.

so I now smell like Turkish delight and really enjoying it.

I could never pick five, my tastes change like the wind! I love the idea of having a signature fragrance, but in reality have about a dozen I cycle through and get bored too easily to pick just one.

My favourites right now in the warmer weather are:

I am trying the Joyphoria ( new CT perfume ) today. Whoever said the new perfumes had stupid names I couldn’t agree more.

Anyway - the perfume is lovely. I can still pick up the tuberose ( I think ?) in the background. I will be buying a bottle ( can’t decide if that would be the 10ml or 100ml) . Yet to try the rest of the samples.

I got YSL Libre (I prefer how the Platine one smells or me but I'm grateful that I got a 100ml bottle of the standard one as they're not cheap) and Burberry Goddess.

Goddess was a blind request for me based on the notes on Frahrantica. I really like it. It reminds me of the smell of Imperial Leather soap, which I love, although might not be an appealing comparison to a lot of people. It's lavendery and vanilla but not cloying, just a nice, comforting smell. Longevity isn't great though, I can't smell it on me by the end of the day.

Meanwhile I just put one spray of Libre on my wrist and now my glass of wine tastes like it. I love YSL fragrances though, my all time favourite is Cinema, I just adore it, it's like... a grown up smell without being basic or old lady and isn't quite like anything else (except the sadly discontinued Trouble by Boucheron which was similar-but-better IMO), close second is Manifesto.

I've got Tom Ford white patchouli on today, one of my absolute favourites but I have to get so close to my skin to smell it. Such disappointing staying power on me.

Agreed with @RandomAlpaca22, I have a second hand bottle and I can smell it on myself all day. It is a lighter scent though so I think it's one where people nearer to you can smell it.

Tom Ford perfumes are hit and miss with their strength though which is crazy for the price. White Patchouli isn't super expensive though.

I saw a reel on IG from a perfume influencer on how many seconds sprays she recommends for various perfumes. I was aghast at how many sprays she recommends, she said 40 for Billie Eilish, 25 for Good Girl, can’t remember the rest. No matter what I wear it’s one to two sprays max

Isn't 40 sprays like 3ml or more? I can literally buy a 1ml sample and use it multiple times, that's crazy.

Magic Energy - this to me smells of toilet cleaner . Won’t be trying this as I am pretty sure I won’t like it.

It was the one called More Sex. I tried the others but I wasn’t keen- one of them had a very disinfectant type smell.
