I had a sniff of the Miss Dior 2024 and was pleased. I usually find Miss Dior a bit wishy washy. How many versions can they do though, and it doesn't seem clearly labelled. What version do I have in the cupboard that I don't wear?! Perfume is such a science.

I've started spraying the back of my neck, so I'm not smelling it all day and getting used to, assuming it smells the same to other people!

Thank you for this recommendation- I’m now obsessed too! It’s a huge bottle too, and the perfume fades so well over time!

I’ve also just ordered two FM fragrances to try- Dupes of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc and Bitter Peach. Will let you girls know if they’re any good!

Yes - I am. Although I don’t tend to sign in that often .

Yesterday I spent about 2 hours browsing perfume sample websites. One was called Perfumista and the other was perfume samples uk.

On the former there are loads of brands I have not heard of and want to try them. I must have spent about £250 ( not literally just in my window shopping head) on samples.
I think I also must be a sucker for a nice bottle

My kayali rock sugar arrived from vinted. It's basically silk santal layered with toy 2 bubblegum in my opinion! Nice though

Is that the new one? The bottle is lovely.

I don’t tend to get on with Kayali perfume but I like to have a smell all the same.

has anyone tried the Kylie Jenner perfume? Cosmic? I am curious about it but don’t want to hand over my hard earned to one of the Jenner/ Kardashian clan.

Got a decant of black opium over red, it's pretty good, more of a sour cherry note and surprisingly long lasting for a black opium

Is it much like Tom Ford Lost Cherry? Think I’ll get my nose on it tomorrow when I’m doing some shopping. Cherry is a hard one to get right as a note.

No it's nothing like Lost Cherry. Lost Cherry is far more complex I think

Having had the bank claw back from an app that charged me after cancellation and my birthday coming up, I treated myself to Roos and Roos Mia Mentha.
it came and smelled slightly weird but soon has gone back to what I expected and what I put on my wrist yesterday afternoon is still there - for a perfume without a huge projection it’s certainly tenacious! I was thinking I’d been really frivolous and wasted my money but it’s good quality thank goodness.

This also isn’t helping me to reduce my niche perfume want list as I was hoping that they’d smell similar and o could see how much I liked it ( before committing to spending ££££ ) . I think since neither the kilian or Tom Ford smell the same I can’t really rule out whether I like / want them

Lazy of me but can anyone recommend an atomizer I can pour perfume directly into? I've looked at the travolo one but that only works with traditional perfume bottles. I want to decant non spray bottles (cheapy ones I received as gifts) into a spray to get myself to use them up.

I just bought Lattafa Khamrah and I’m a bit disappointed. I love the smell, but I was expecting much better longevity and projection based on reviews I’ve read. Not sure if my skin just eats up perfume! I’m hoping it will get better if I let it macerate.

No way! I have The coffee version (Khamrah Qawha I think it’s called) and it’s SO strong to my nose. I actually have to be careful with it otherwise it makes me feel a bit One of those fragrances I’ll spray into the air and walk through, just to distribute it really finely on me!

I think it's Sandalwood I hate. It's in Molecule 04 (I think) and I hated myself for splashing that on me.

Also something floral I can never remember until I spray and regret.

Just trying out some perfumes on a ferry: Amarige by Givenchy, I used to have this but it was never a favourite; The Only One by Dolce & Gabbana, nothing special; and Interdit by Givenchy, I think this has had a few mentions? - quite musky, woody-smelling, I sort of like it (assume it was perfume, not after-shave?)

Think I’m going to treat myself to Mugler Alien with my Boots points. Does anyone know if you buy in store they’ll give a few perfume samples these days?

Side note I really hate how most shops don’t give those little samples anymore. I need to wear a scent a day or two to decide on it not sprayed onto a piece of paper. Used to be more common many years ago 🥲

I don't think I've ever been given a perfume sample in Boots! Department stores usually are a better bet although they seem to have quite random sample stock sometimes- I remember asking for a sample of a couple of Opium variants to try out when I was buying another one and the lovely lady was so apologetic not to have any that she gave me 25-30 YSL serum samples instead (didn't do anything for my skin, sadly!)

Not sure if it's already been mentioned - sorry if it has.
Coco by Chanel the foaming shower wash is discontinued! I can order some from Europe, but has anyone found a good dupe or similar. I can find loads of mademoiselle but not Coco the perfume is still available and body lotion (randomly)
