I don’t know what VS is

It’s a very old perfume that was discontinued about 20 years ago and I’m still on a quest to find a replacement

I got YSL Libre (I prefer how the Platine one smells or me but I'm grateful that I got a 100ml bottle of the standard one as they're not cheap) and Burberry Goddess.

Goddess was a blind request for me based on the notes on Frahrantica. I really like it. It reminds me of the smell of Imperial Leather soap, which I love, although might not be an appealing comparison to a lot of people. It's lavendery and vanilla but not cloying, just a nice, comforting smell. Longevity isn't great though, I can't smell it on me by the end of the day.

Meanwhile I just put one spray of Libre on my wrist and now my glass of wine tastes like it. I love YSL fragrances though, my all time favourite is Cinema, I just adore it, it's like... a grown up smell without being basic or old lady and isn't quite like anything else (except the sadly discontinued Trouble by Boucheron which was similar-but-better IMO), close second is Manifesto.

YSL Cinema is my favorite too. I'm looking to buy it again but I'm confused bc there is 2 places I could buy from, Boots & Brown Thomas. Both have it listed but they list different fragrance notes on each site..... Brown Thomas sounds like it matches the smell I remember and Boots sounds different, but IDK if it's just a mistake or . Any advise? Also I can't go to store to test it unfortunately.

Can anyone recommend a scent that could be layered with JM Pomegranate Noir? J have loads to use up and loathe it now. Something that could make it more palatable?

Versace yellow diamond is quite clean smelling too I think.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve had a couple of bottles of Versace Bright Crystal, it was one of my favourites, I’m not sure if they’ve changed it but I get a funny, metallic smell off it now

Does Superdrug sell higher end perfumes?
I've just seen a TikTok saying if you buy a mini atomiser there (the 5ml capacity empty ones designed to be filled from a full size bottle, intended for handbag or travel) for £6.99 you can have it filled instore for free from whichever tester bottle you choose.
I'm in Ireland and the nearest Superdrug to me is pretty rough so I haven't browsed the perfume but it could be a cost-effective way to try more expensive fragrances without buying the full bottle?

If its the one in the fat clear square bottle just called Gucci, Divain do a dupe for it which is pretty spot on.

I tried the platinum one! Liked it but I didn’t even see the flowers one which I didn’t know about eithe. I did try paradoxe floral though and didn’t like it at all.

Brilliant, thank you! I bought a sample of the new Libre yesterday so interested to try it. I only like the original Libre out of all the different versions so I don’t have high hopes for the new one

Any Gucci Flora fans?
I just got Gorgeous Gardenia (the pink bottle) at the weekend and I absolutely adore it. It smells a bit like pineapples to me, definitely fresh and tropical and I love the sweetness of the base notes.
I’m more used to cheaper fragrances so it is a bit of a luxury treat for me, it lasts a lot longer than what I’m used to!
10/10 from me!

Yes I have had that one for a while now, strangely I wasn't mad on it when I first got it but recently decided to try it again and love it !!!!
I'm going to try the Green jasmine one next

Got a decant of black opium over red, it's pretty good, more of a sour cherry note and surprisingly long lasting for a black opium

Is it much like Tom Ford Lost Cherry? Think I’ll get my nose on it tomorrow when I’m doing some shopping. Cherry is a hard one to get right as a note.

I wasn’t aware of it but I always liked dkny apple fragrances and my partner got it me for my birthday….the boy did good lol

I got the dark purple one years ago and my partner said it smells more like it’s for men and appropriated it for himself
ETA it did smell much nicer on him
