You nailed it. It IS disrespectful and A&P are fully aware of it. P probably more so than A because she's really sensitive to these things. But A just doesn't care. Again, it's his attitude of ''This is how I do things, I know what's best, everyone else should just deal with it and accomodate me."
I addressed this with his minions a long time ago and was jumped on. I have a child with severe sensory processing and he cannot handle just basic screaming, and there is no way he could handle being around someone that just constantly yell.. I was jumped on and told that I would need to leave with my child because they have more rights to be anywhere and that they don’t have to leave, just because Abbie is causing a distraction or being socially inappropriate...

Looks like more trips to the dentist vlogs for autism awareness is in store for 2020.
You would think she would have that dealt with during the big emergency in December. 😆
She probably couldn’t afford to do it all or the dentist refused to give her a discount for doing a shout-out about their name. I don’t remember watching the dentist but did they show their name and address? If not, they probably tried to work out a deal and got shut down..

Dang! 50 in a 25 zone? Like pretty much driving like a bat out of hell in a neighborhood? A misdemeanor which is probably reckless driving or a dui? In VA? They don't even live there.
I tried to do a search for Duval county and had no luck. I wonder if he only misbehaves a few states away from home?
I wonder if VA shares their license points and suspensions with FL. It could be that those tickets finally caught up with him and that is the reason he doesn’t drive.. I know not all states share or care but a lot of states are coming on board and they could have placed his license under suspension..

So, today's video was insomnia with autism. While he may have made some good points, he colossally ignored other things. He says that Abbie's sleep problems have to do with her particular mindset and energy levels - or something along those lines. He completely ignores that she often naps when she gets home from school and (it has been mentioned multiple times in past videos) there have been times they've picked her up from JSA and asked how her day went and the teacher said she slept for a cpl hours. So, if Abbie is taking one to two naps almost every day -- it's no wonder she stays awake until 4:30 or 5:00am! Then she has to get ready and go to school around 7:30am and it starts all over again. Asa talks about her meds and says sometimes they just don't work. Not because she's gotten bigger or the fact that she's been on the same dosage for years now and more than likely built a tolerance to that dose. No, it's because sometimes her mindset just won't allow her to sleep.
He basically says that insomnia is a common problem for people on the autism spectrum and that's why Abbie has sleep issues.:rolleyes:

How’d you even find these traffic offenses! I have to say it too...50 in a 25! omg! And that offense says charges filed in 1/19, I think, so he likely has had his license revoked for a year? What a f’ing hot head mASS!

Yeah, that King of Autism crown he holds on his head, is starting to become a little to tight..
He is so delusional. If one of my children was doing that, without reason, I would be on the phone figuring it out. Of course, all these naps have interrupted her natural sleep pattern..
First, she shouldn’t be napping at school and home. Also, if she is napping, it should be limited to a certain amount of time (no more than an hour) and if it is at school, then they need to let the parents know if they took a nap or not and log it...
Lastly, they need to talk to the doctor and increase her sleep meds, at least for a short time, to get her to sleep and back on a traditional schedule..

Yes, kids on the Autism Spectrum can get their days/nights turned around, from holidays, time change, vacations, etc. Sometimes there is no reason too... We look for signs and then we work to get them back onto a traditional wake/sleep schedule as fast as possible..

Gosh, she needs a sleep specialist because her parents don’t have a clue... Any neurologist that specializes in sleep medicine could explain this to them..

She’s not active enough. They encourage naps after school & nights where she is up all night they still send her to school (that’s where it does feel like daycare to me/esp if she knows she can nap there). Rather than all these dinner outs w/ respite, why hasn’t anyone taken her to an indoor pool? or the parents take her?! She walks to slow for it to constitute as exercise.

I thought her new vocational program was discouraging naps? Of course they probably also encourage all students coming to school well rested.
Agreed on the lack of meaningful exercise. That with the naps and meds not being enough and there is no way she can sleep well.

I find it very telling that Asa doesn't ever mention getting pulled over in the vlogs... for someone who loves ANY bit of drama and content he must pretty embarrassed about it. Most people would just be like "oops got a ticket!" and it's nbd. I wonder if any of the tickets have to do with him filming and driving?

Thats what I thought. Or maybe a drink/drug problem? Nothing would surprise me. The chickens are coming home to roost and it is glorious!

It seems like either they are just unwilling to put in the effort it would take to get her back on a proper sleeping schedule or they are just THAT ignorant that they think "Well, it's just the autism. This is how it is." and refusing to look at anything else in her life that is contributing to her sleeping patterns.
It's also like he's trying to rationalize it to himself so that he doesn't feel guilty for not doing what needs to be done.

He'll do ANYTHING for his autistic daughter! No matter how hard it is! No matter how many people he has to educate! You know... as long as it doesn't interfere with dunkies, filming and sleeping in lol. I'm sure the staff love them showing up late then shoving a camera in their face so they have to fake laugh at his "jokes"

All talk and no action when it comes to actually taking her autism and education seriously. Make sure everyone knows how expensive the school is and the lengths you went to demand a proper education... and can't even get her there on time. Pathetic.

Watching those school employees have to put up with the Maass BS on camera makes me soooooo glad I work in corporate America. If I had to smile and stroke their egos, I'd have to find a way to medicate the part of me that still cares.

I believe that is a private driveway where they drop and pick up Abbie from. If that was the case, as a teacher or teacher’s aid, I would kindly request no video taping or electronic usage allowed in drop off or pick up areas, for the safety and security of the school, students and employees..

Can you imagine the passive aggressive rant he would give on the vlog if they did that? His FAVORITE thing to do is "call people out" and pretend he's not bothered and taking the higher road whenever anyone doesn't want to pat his ass and kiss his feet.

I guarantee you the Maass family comes up in every staff meeting and they're all like "WTF do we do with him???"

I wonder what JSA really feels about the Maass's and Abbie's progress. Asa was bragging about how well she is doing and all the accomplishments.. is that really how it went? It could be that JSA wants to continue with the $$$ coming from the Maass's so they will kiss their A**ss and tell them anything.

I wonder if JSA would prefer to highlight a student who is actually showing real progress? Do they worry that their blogging can affect them in a negative way?

I honestly think it's pretty irresponsible that they openly say which school she goes to and show the building/entrances/sign-in process. It would be so easy for someone who is unstable or obsessed with them to find it and go try to get in. It's 100% a safety concern. I'm super curious what the staff have to say about them. I'm sure they see a lot more of the ugly than we're shown on the vlogs.

I'm willing to bet the staff that meet with them give "compliment sandwiches" to stroke Asa and P's ego while trying to get them to wake the duck up and care for their daughter. I've dealt with families like this across all types of childcare and it's always a balancing act of praising them and walking on eggshells to actually get anything done. I'm sure they have to be careful because he's litigious and they don't want to lose money.

The school has gotten TONS of publicity from the Maass family. I bet they've gotten tons of inquiries and maybe more enrollment. I doubt they'll ever tell them to stop filming.

It makes me wonder how they will cope in the future when they are older and she is much bigger and stronger. I couldn’t cope with it and I am sorry if that offends anyone but I am just being honest.
You are not alone in those thoughts.

In addition to Asa having a ton of traffic tickets and a possible suspended/revoked license he also has a secret child.

With the help of another member, the records were viewed to confirm. I know this is a bit much to post on this forum but it has to be said because he is portraying a picture perfect family view.....which just further goes to show what scammers they are.

I bet he wishes he could delete this!!😆😆
