The all night honking/screaming... the leaving the dogs locked up all day .. and they could be barking all day, the huge cameras day and night... the adult diapers probably thrown in the most convenient trash receptacle... the rotting food they probably toss daily.... etc etc...Not to mention Asshat just being a straight up jerk to people and P trying to reel them into slimelife..

I was thinking Mantua for accommodations. The scenery is very similar to the old Yogi Bear campground that is now a KOA. I really really REALLY wanted them to wander into Nelson. I’d leave my house and pay the 50 just to see their reactions. My lake in my backyard was a former quarry and this area is very quaint. There was also a regular family festival not far from here. My kids run a punt, pass and kick event. It’s not very loud, only three kiddie rides and pretty quiet bands. Honestly, I’m glad they didn’t find us.Yeah, the flat affect/robot-like demeanor was what jumped out for my older child. As a reminder, my younger child was diagnosed first and at a much younger age; it was during little one's diagnostic process where one of our specialists casually observed my older child's flat affect and suggested we look into an evaluation on them.
My younger kid is generally quite....animated and dramatic () but they will "shut down" or lose any emotional affect when they're overwhelmed. I take a flat affect in my youngest as a sign they need help regulating. Kiddo was badly overwhelmed the last few days in the hospital & their flat mood was almost unrecognizable to some of our long-term caregivers.
Older kid is just one of those stoic people at heart so it's hard to tell if they're shutting down or if they're just Sheldoning - fortunately they're fully communicative & we can get things figured out if they need help pretty easily.
We wound up having to stay a little longer than planned. Even with constant IV hydration kiddo got dehydrated in the hospital & their kidneys were not pleased. We're home now, they're hydrated and stable...gotta go get bloodwork in a few days to look for signs of another AKI (acute kidney injury). Other than that little hiccup everything else went exactly as planned. Port is in great shape, surgery was a breeze and kiddo bounced back immediately after waking from anesthesia.
Still no concrete idea on the kidney problems. I mean, the docs are pretty sure they know why it's happening, but the medications my child is on should be keeping it from happening and no one knows why they're not. We're almost certainly looking at a drastic overhaul of their entire medication regimen. Yay.
Guessing they stayed southeast in Streetsboro, unless they left the trailer at a Walmart parking lot while "in town" before hauling it out to Sandusky for the night.
TO THEIR CREDIT, I did appreciate that they spent 30 seconds admiring the somewhat unique architecture of Cleveland. I love the postwar suburban bungalows and pre-war industrial duplexes in the city & inner ring. This really is a cool city. They didn't see even a fraction of it, but at least they mentioned a couple valid points of interest without making the same old tired jokes about flaming rivers.
How in the heck do they let the dogs out out to the bathroom if they're gone all day? That is absolutely cruel! I just went to a wedding last week. I was gone for 7 hours but paid my neighbor to come to walk and let my dog out. WTAF is wrong with them?!? Add the hours up and there is no way they can be back in time for those animals.Have you all seen her facebook live? It took them 2 hours to get into Chicago.. but they are having the BEST TIME!!!! Their trip is SO MUCH FUN!!!!! They already know what they will be eating... Abbie wants Chipotle..lol.

We love daffodil hill at Lakeview. And the whole cemetery is beautiful. People picnic there. When I was more mobile we’d eat at Trattoria and hit up a set of bocce before walking the cemetery. My mom wants to drive up but my fathers mental state isn’t so good these days, and I hurt if I’m on my feet too long. The formula shortage hit right during our Covid round two, and my tpn was near impossible to find. I can’t swallow much anymore so we blended our own and supplemented with Ensure. Stuffs nasty.Murray Hill! Love Little Italy. We used to eat at the Aurora Restaurant down there. My folks are near there at Mayfield Cemetery. Next to Lake View cemetery where President Garfield is entombed. Now that’s something to see! The Rockefeller's are also there. I am an unashamed cemetery fan.
Besides the gruesome stuff, there are tons of stuff to see and go. West Side Market, ride on the Rapid Transit, etc. I love my at-heart home!

My friend posted a pic of herself stuck in traffic on I94 around the same time as she was heading to Chicago and it was at a standstill due to an accident. There are plenty of RV places in IL they could go to and traffic sucks all the time in Chicago though...so chances are they did stay out of Indiana!
