yes I looked, however, for autism it is considered outdated to refer to it as a mental health disorder. It was a long time ago that it was out in the DSM when less was understood about autism. Most scientific research now and the autism community do not to refer to it as that because autism isn’t an illness, and it won’t change. Yes the brain is different if you have autism, but it is a neurodevelopmental disorder, you are born with it and will have it for life. Interestingly though, all the websites that say it is a mental health condition we’re American, all the ones that specifically stated it wasn’t were UK. So I don’t know if this is just a difference of vocabulary? But I would definitely stand by pricilla and agree it is not a mental health condition.

I had to stop watching the video. I understand how any parent of an autistic child/adult would feel as A & P do although I think they're more hyped over having content. They're jumping on that bandwagon. But, also coming from a family of law officers I can understand the challenges they face in this situation. They have to make snap judgments based on the 911 call, quickly try to decide if it's drugs/mental illness, was it a weapon in his hand, crowd screaming at them, on and on. I hate it happened and glad no one was seriously hurt.

I wish Chris never interviewed him. Especially when I look back to Assas SBSK interview. They were NOTHING like what they are now. That vid brought me to the Maassives. I reached out to Chris a while back to get his view on child exploitation, minors giving consent to be blasted to millions on Social media, , etc...I never heard a response. I didn't go after him. I just asked him what he thought about A and Ps 180° turn in to what they are now from where they started in the humble beginnings and if he thought youtube money and exploitation hurts or helps children.I believe they wouldn't be where they are today if it wasn't for the SBSK video. They got a really lucky break with this one. Then the Shorty Award pushed them even farther.
I understand what you are saying, but just not following. It is a current dx in the DSM 5, still used and not outdated. It was actually updated in 2013 to include all "levels" of the spectrum as one so that there is continuity in services and benefits. It also eliminated criteria that formally ended up in an ASD dx, even when unwarranted. ( not all communication, behavioral, sensory, etc. issues equal ASD....but they often used to.)
Schizophrenia is also a ND disorder AKA "mental illness". I can see how people may not want that same "illness" stigma attached to Autism, or even ADHD- also a ND, but it doesnt work that way. There are sub's of course, but they're all under the ND diagnostic umbrella.
I certainly do not stand by P- she does not know how to protect her own child, let alone someone else's, on top of being clinically uninformed.
Just know I am not "against" you, just her.

When my now 20-year-old was younger he loved Peppa! My mom watched him while my then-husband and I were at work and she spent the hours teaching him so much and keeping him active doing all sorts of activities. One day the activity was all about Peppa Pig. One of the fun things from that day was that she made him a Peppa Pig snout to wear
which was so cute, but it covered his entire face almost!
When I picked him up after work I took a pic of him wearing his snout and then my mom asked him "What does Peppa say" and he oinked, really loud, as only a 2 1/2-year-old could! I can almost hear him oinking in the pic. It was freaking hilarious the effort he put into oinking, I thought he was going to pop a blood vessel or give himself a sore throat!
Poor dude...he cringes now if I bring it up and would die if he knew I mentioned that here, let alone posted a pic of him...but what happens on Tattle, stays on Tattle, right?
To disguise his then 2 1/2 year old head/face, I just added a Peppa hat on him. I found it online and I have no clue who "George" was, but apparently it was George's hat! joking...any name could go there, but it sounded funny saying 'no clue who George was"

We know of this horrific abuse and with this knowledge we have had advocates in many communities who have gotten with the police Law Inforcment . Many have taken classes to learn about special needs , homelessness , and now have a specialist on call to help .

I think my local PD is a little late compared to other PD's but Im so happy and grateful they have now hired 2 FT LSW's(I believe that is what was said during news conference about their credentials) to assist on calls. They will go along on Domestic calls, EDP calls, any call where someone is threatening self harm etc... I'm a RN of 26 yr. Mostly in adult Psychiatric units and more with Sustance abuse treatment/detox. I have ALWAYS relied on the SW/therapists/counselors to HELP me be better at my job. They are a valuable member of the Interdisciplinary Team. P.S- Hey Assa and P, I guarantee this...All of us TATTLERS have way cooler jobs than you. PRISCILLA, YOU ARE AN ENTITLED COW, MARRIED TO AN ENTITLED NARCISSIST. Priscilla has the brain and the personality of a potato. How does a 40+ yr old hashtag that her job is better than everyone? Something is wrong with her. Waaaay wrong.

Yes, I officially return to full time Tattle status as of midnight tonight. I cant count how many times your laser eyes quite literally made my day! I had one of Nala zapping P as my desktop screensaver at work for months!
I remember when Kermy came up with Leghumper, and my girl Hot christening the Massive's "the hambeasts!" WowMeow's pics. Stripes wit. I counted on Noir a few times to be a voice of reason. My grandson has ADD, and I had no idea what it really was until I got to go to a Dr's visit with him. I thought his meds were going to make him tired and sleepy and he would't be able to even learnin school. Yes this is the same grandson that runs our store for us when we're not there.
