I think he likes Josie and loves the lifestyle she provides for him. They seem more like friends or coworkers than they do madly in love. Neither seem overtly physically attracted to the other for their age and stage of life. His eye for other women, particularly friends of Josieās is a major red flag. He seems like the type who would have a porn addictionā¦maybe even prostitutes.

He has no experience in the property field , hence at very best he would be given some sort of junior role with a small estate agency who deal with low value terraced houses and flats probably in the Witney /Banbury area. His wage would be basic.
Should he work? Absolutely.
Anything would be better than nothing . But we must be realistic as to his starting point .

You have to start somewhere. He would be trained. Whether he would accept it is another issue. I doubt it because his vanity is above everybody else. It would do him the world of good having a fresh perspective and purpose that doesnāt revolve around her. The world does not revolve around Josie, their semi or the business. Sorry itās not that serious of a business in the realistic sense and also plenty of others have multiple responsibilities as well as real jobs. Josie is basically a glorified saleswoman which is nothing wrong in that but her delusions of grandeur is what is wrong. Iām a professional I donāt want to say what industry but I worked hard for my career. Husband has a good job but we arenāt millionaires dropping casually money on Porsches. Add on the mortgage, children, expenses, a cat and a tortoise and two properties we invested in as rentals to young professionals itās a balancing act and that is with good health thank God for all. If you factor in all that most people have to contend with on a daily basis who might be ill, disabled or going through problems those two embarrass themselves with their lack of modesty, reality and at times total disregard for decency. Such as inappropriate filming which I can bet she has not asked the poor people filmed for their permissions. He has it so easy and good for him nobody wants people to do badly in life but acting like some pseudo Lird of the Manor living off his wife and mother-in-laws money is pathetic and goes against what a real man should be like which should be independent, an equal partner and just less hobby same applies to her they are both motormouths, watch how it goes when the Interest rates shoot up to a level that even they canāt handle. Recessions are very real things and given the fact that there is an Election in 3 days I would if I were them seriously consider a few contingency plans if life swerves them into unknown financial territory. Likely by her spending habits and the enormous amount of outgoings they must have without the freebies or bookings in their rentals. I fear the worst for anyone with a house and garden because I believe in time Starmer will enforce much higher council tax.
the cottages sheās bought havenāt gone up in price , due to government changes in tax relief on mortgages for landlords and the interest rates increases landlords are selling their rentals so the sales market is increasingly seeing little pokey cottages like hers coming to market . Meaning their cottages are worth less right now .
Their business model means they pay the council tax for three properties . In wales labour has hammered people for council tax . They have hammered people with second homes so much my friend decided to sell her holiday home there .
if she thinks her house is worth 3.5m (itās not worth that) and they re evaluate it for c tax imagine that bill! . Whatever it gets valued at they are likely going to see massive bills.
the cars seem to be purchased from inheritance . Whereās the next two new cars coming from ?. For her to feel sheās keeping up at daylesford she needs to swap both every three years

@ella1979 What will affect them the most beside Josieās exorbitant spending habits is the upkeep of their properties. Also they are listed buildings which as you know comes with a fresh hell that is no friend to the bank account. Also the upkeep of their cars. A friend once advised me that a Ā£43,000 car will always remain a Ā£43,000 car. What they meant was despite the value of the car slashing the minute you drive it off the forecourt the upkeep, mechanics and restoration of expensive cars will always be expensive and stressful. Having the lifestyle is fine but the upkeep is a whole different ball game in every sense, cars, grounds, property needs then thereās her lifestyle upkeep, the subscriptions to Soho. God I would hate to be their accountant because they wouldnāt listen until itās too late. I wish she would stop hammering on about the Summer Solstice. She is the least religious person despite hypocritically marrying in a church and the least spiritual given her mercenary ways. If she was more Pagan sheād do well in life emotionally and spiritually but she isnāt so why the disingenuous spiritual posturing? Typical charlatan style yakking by her

I'm not sure about the cars, it wouldn't surprise me if they are on finance. We have 2 cars on finance, we change them every 2/3 years and never have to put any more deposit down and the monthly payments don't fluctuate too much.
However we have been using the same car dealer for almost 20 years, and we always return well looked after cars with very low mileage and so it's a win for him and us.
Maybe they could be doing something similar which means they get to change fairly often. Just guessing here though and also our cars are both Ford cars, not Discovery's!

You raise a good point however factor in:
-Insurance
-Gas and electric
-Council tax
-Water
-Maintenance for every property they own
-Vets bills
-Credit cards if they have any
-Food for them and the dogs
-Dental
-Private healthcare canāt see Miss Contrary lowering herself to stay in an NHS ward can you?! Maybe for checkups but hopefully that isnāt an issue for them at any time. Health is wealth.
Everything adds up and prices never lower only increase
Again, I feel very sorry for their accountant(s) and financial advisors if they have because they are a colossal financial disaster waiting to happen. Josie needs to reel in her vanity and boasting because her fall from grace will be the hardest and saving face. I doubt they listen to expert advice. Iām saying this because the ones who boast the most lose the most

Sheās a solid 25mins of uphill and down dale type country lane driving which is incredibly bad for anyoneās mpg. They live too far away to be doing the daily trips to daylesford at 25 mins each way that many times pw plus everything else .
quince & clover is 20mins each way as well and burford garden centre is min 42 mins each way. Thatās a lot of fuel they both use. Iāve only seen them use the same car once . Normally they are running errands separately to each other . Yet only one person is bringing in Ā£Ā£Ā£.
