I bet she couldn’t hack the hours and I remember reading in the FT comments of the article on her that she’s known to not be very good at her job. I think she cared more about the status of being a lawyer gave her than actually being a lawyer.Kind of surprised with how much she pushed the 'I'm a lawyer' brand

I saw it in my own cohort, the trainees who came in the most boastful and posting stories about the job- quickly leave within a few years. They thought law would be their “Suits” dream when it’s actually an incredibly stressful and complex job.
That new role she’s got will result in at least a 60-70% pay cut too, so she really wanted out.

I agree, even if she isn't excellent she surely could not have been bad at her job. I get the feeling that with the pandemic and her relationship she realized that her personal life is a lot more important to her than she initially believed it would be, maybe her coming to terms with her sexuality and feeling more comfortable with her life and interests played a role in that too. honestly seems like a good decision for her especially since she liked tech so much (which I always thought was random and out of the blue, but what do I know about her interests). considering she's still technically at linklaters the pay must still be goodI remember seeing the comments about her not being great at her job but I question the validity of those to be honest. Well she was kept on in corporate where the only real skills needed as a trainee is document management. Her rep of being crap probably came from the other departments. Yup all about status and title for her.Just like being a lawyer, eve is gonna love saying she’s a woman tech and STEM. Although technically she’s working for a documents platform
