I have some tea that I thought would be interesting. I find it quite hilarious how she preaches how she views success as ‘earning your own money, paying your own bills, helping parents’. Basically, all of this crap about financial independence and how she values it... Like her gf is so loaded? They live in an 2.5 million house in Surrey with close links to London. As far as I know, the gf only recently got a minimum wage paying job last month and relies entirely on her parents... The gf goes on all of these trips and stays at 5* hotels in Santorini etc. So much for financial independence being so valued... Also, the lockdown breaking rules. It’s always the rich, entitled ones. The gf went on holiday in late September and I’m pretty sure it was with Eve. One thing I find weird is that Eve has never posted pictures of it. But the gf posted so many pictures of the trip but it isn’t exactly clear with who. In all of the pictures, the gf is with some girl that could be Eve, same build as Eve, same hair, same rings, same eyebrows. The thing that had convinced me it was in fact Eve, was that the gf posted an old film picture in Santorini of the girl she was with and 99% sure it is Eve. Lockdown breaking and trying to hide it lol.

Speaking of rule breaking, the way they see each other almost every weekend. Like since when was that ever allowed? Staying at each others’ houses etc.? Going back home? Visiting all of the other friends? I follow the gf and she gives 0 craps about restrictions as she is always out with all of these different people.

I wonder how they even met. I know it was on Tinder. But I wonder why a girl like the gf would go for someone like Eve? I reckon it’s money. The gf obviously comes from a wealthy background (the dad does all of this Chief Technology Management stuff, he’s the CEO of many things and he invests). I also notice the gf posting things and sharing stuff about properties and how she wants to own this and that. Obviously, everyone has dreams but she is very materialistic. I reckon she must be drawn to Eve because of her job and the money it brings. For example, Eve took her to this place in England for the gf’s birthday when they were dating just over a month, costing £600 a night... Other than that, the gf is like SOOOO pretty and has it all. I don’t know why else she’d go for Eve lol. Anyway, I wonder how long they will last.

Also, this whole company bizz. Was selling the rest of the cups stock, her way of closing down the business or whatever. Seemed lowkey weird to me.

And lastly- anyone know why Eve has privatised so many of her videos? I don’t really get it. But anyway!

Thing is though that Eve doesn’t earn *that* much. It’s nothing compared to the money the gf’s family has. If she was in it for money I guess she’d go for someone actually rich, not Eve. Maybe it’s the popularity thing, not that Eve is super popular outside of studytubers community though.

Really not impressed by her and Jack Edward's insta stories this evening - she's dying his hair, thus breathing all other him, and they have a third mate present indoors too (whose hair Eve also plays with). If that's what they'll publicly share, it makes me doubt they give a shit about social distancing overall.

I want to go back to the normal of being physically close to my friends, too, but it's not safe to do so at the moment.

Exactly, it's a bit of a pisstake seeing influencers flouting the rules.

Chances are she is for travel purposes. France requires a health pass to enter some areas, and while it's possible she could be walking around without one I see it as sort of unlikely

Is that possible given the new rules?

New rules started on midnight so she must have travelled yesterday before 11PM here (from what I understand anyway)
Either they made some very lucky plans to travel on the 17th, changed their dates or made a spontaneous decision to travel

Not looking down on her, she seemed so passionate about criminal law that I presumed she would rather practice law in something she loves yet earns average salary compared to something her heart might not be in completely yet gets payed a ton. Thats what I meant by didn't think she'd care but yeah

It’s not uncommon for most of them to start out in civil law to save some money and criminal is hard going especially where you have days where you possibly can’t get paid!

Anyone watch Eve Cornwell? I quite liked what she was doing. It was interesting following her journey to becoming a lawyer and I thought she made some decent vlogs. Until today. So she starts off by proudly stating that she's never sold out by trying to flog merch. True, it's one of the reasons I liked her. 10 minutes later in the same vlog she's flogging hoodies. Only they're not merch, oh no, they represent membership of a club of like-minded people. OK, Eve, we absolutely believe you

her paris trip annoys me so much it's so irresponsible and she literally had no reason (like a family visit) to go there but had the money to spend and not enough reason to consider why it may not be such a good idea <3 why are so many influencers like this

You would have had a significant amount of cultural capital in order to pass the 11+, you’ll find some parents will try and get their children in both, they are similar because they both require privilege, section on anything: money, Gender, religion elevates the school because you have to know the system to get into it aka being able to afford to live into the catchment area or baptising your child. It all adds to the end result

They also potentially have better teachers and facilities too. A lot of my teachers left to teach in the local grammar school because it was simply easier from a behaviour standpoint

Even those tiny advantages add up to give you advantages later

I like Eve a lot, I get she can be a little cringy but I think she's more natural on camera than a lot of other YouTubers which is really refreshing. The only thing that does confuse me is that she is clearly so interested in crime, and seems like she'd be much better suited to criminal law. In the UK criminal lawyers earn considerably less than corporate lawyers, and the money is definitely attractive, but I don't understand why she didn't pursue a more criminal/crime based career.

I like her too. I think her having a full time job and a career she's passionate about makes her much more appealing to watch. She's clearly a hardworker and has things going on other than YouTube/"influencing". For me, most YTers become intolerable when they become a full time influencer.

Still don't really understand the point of her millennial coffee club thing, though I haven't followed it too closely tbf.

Haha, the thought of Eve hooking up with Justin is funny. Your right that Justin’s long term boyfriend is the guy in this picture (at least I think they are still together).

I am super curious what happened with her old flatmate... Anoushka was only ever really in the background and didn't seem as close to her as Reina, then boom suddenly she's gone and replaced by Kathryn. I wonder if people even noticed as they are vaguely similar and it's not like Anoushka was a major feature. You never even see her hanging out with them any more. I wonder what the tea is on that.

Not sure if it was here or on GG but people were discussing how she doesn't seem that interested in corporate law, but obviously the field has some good money. It's not that surprising that she would keep her channel just for ads at that point imo.

Obviously nothing wrong with wanting to make money, but personally I'm very much for doing something you enjoy assuming it at least lets ends meet. Plus, with her YouTube career it's not like she would only have one source of income
