The flares are cute, not exactly what a Partner would wear, but perfectly fine for the office. The cropped shirt, however, would be a no-go in our law firm.

I think if she wanted to she could cut out her channel to be a source for ‘developments in law’ (I know there’s a specific term for this but it escapes my mind) for her specific area. Law students are always encouraged to keep up with that as it’s good for interviews and what not, yet it can be a bit hard to do. It seems like an obvious choice for her to make but eh

And is she looking at it from a US law standpoint? Because it's got nothing to do with UK law. At least Wagatha Christie is UK-related and at least some of the evidence has been published.

I'm so tired of people using AD(H)D as a synonym for "having trouble staying focused at times". Eve, you're in a 1-year relationship, you have plenty of longtime friends, you graduated with excellent grades, received excellent feedback and training contract offers from all of your former employers, and secured a training contract at one of the most renowned law firms in a super fast-paced environment. I highly doubt that at least some of those things would have been possible with an undiagnosed (!) AD(H)D. People like Eve who missuse the name of such a serious mental illness are responsible for the fact that way too many people still don't take AD(H)D seriously, and think it's an excuse for lazy people that aren't trying hard enough.

ADHD isn't a mental illness, it's a neurodevelopmental disorder. Your English is fine! I agree with you 100% on your other points, a lot of people loosely throw around ADHD even if they don't actually have it, which is contributing to the stereotypes around it
People can be "high-functioning" and still have ADHD. They can get good grades and still have it. Jessica McCabe, an ADHDer who runs the youtube channel How to ADHD is a good example of this - she did a TEDx talk.

I didn’t watch the video and I don’t think I will. I don’t know why but the thumbnail gives me clickbaity vibes and overall I just find it distasteful to make videos on topics likes this, I’m sure she tries to be respectful and it’s a well-researched video but still, it’s just not for me…especially since it’s an ongoing case.

For me it seems like she just doesn’t know what to do with her channel, so she only posts when she can make money with it, hence why every video is sponsored.

Does a firm like Linklaters really need to do outreach though? Their training contracts are so in-demand. I doubt they’re crying out for applicants. And if they’re looking to attract “diversity” such as working class people, those of colour, etc. she isn’t an example of such attributes.

It's also the fact that France introduced new stricter restrictions on travel on the very day they would have travelled (as the restrictions would have started at 11PM in the UK), and those restrictions would have been announced
A) they could have scrapped the plans to go, the two can clearly afford a fair amount of luxury as it is but also the tickets/bookings could have been sold to someone else
B) they may have very well (and I honestly think it's likely) made the decision to go after those restrictions were announced - there's an article that said a lot of people actually bought tickets to go to France after that announcement

Also, it's not like Eve has shown any responsibility in wearing a mask and it's clear that she has been travelling during the last lockdown. She, and I suppose her gf, has a pattern of behaviour of ignoring restrictions

You're right on the pattern of behaviour she has been displaying this throughout the pandemic and she's showing herself to be a totally selfish cunt in reality. She's flaunting her newly acquired wealth and she's not even modest enough to try and do it slyly and instead is posting it all over social media.

Middle class people really seem to think that their privilege is not as high as it appears to a working-class person. One of my very middle class friends says she feels like she has had the “best of both worlds” because she didn’t attend a private school, but of course her school is still extremely good

I don’t really have the guts to tell her that her school is probably way closer to a private school than an underfunded school in a shit area

I thought she did earn a lot? Around £60k second year trainee lawyers at LinkLaters earn? I think for a 23 y/o, that is VERY good. Her salary will only go up with experience. She will easily reach £100ks... So while it is not as much as her gf’s family have, it is still a lot.

Maybe Eve is also in it for the money The gf’s house had a value of £600k in 2009. Then when her family bought it, it cost them almost £2.5mil in 2015... When the parents pass it on, that will be over £1 million each for the gf and her two siblings. There are set up for life.

Also, something that annoys me about Eve. She has consistently talked about her background and how she doesn‘t come from money and that her parents didn‘t pay for this and that. While that may be partially true, she portrays herself as some kind of working class, self-made success story. Chesire, Chester is an alright area first of all. But also, in some of the videos, you can see the house. It is in a neighbourhood of detached houses only - quite residential with large gardens... Inside of the house, it appears to be spacious. I wish she‘d knock off the ‘oh I am so poor’ thing. Like address your privilege girl.

Lol speaking as a fellow mc trainee, she will not be rich. Well unless Youtube money is helping her out. London lifestyle, London rent and income tax dwindles the salary pretty quickly. Most of us flat share and even my supervisor who is 6 years qualified can't afford his own place yet.

Anyways I really hope her content gets better, I actually used to enjoy it and relate to a lot of her vids. But everything she posts is either an ad or a insta story about having a girlfriend. Its bloody boring.

That's a workplace issue, not an issue with pronouns. We should be making workplaces more inclusive, not taking issue with people for simply making it easier to address them in a way they feel comfortable.
