There is arguably very little “STEM” involved in her role. She won’t be the one building the software. I suspect her main role will be to liaise with internal and external teams to see who wants to use the platform and plan how to roll it out.

She's currently patting herself on the back in her Instagram stories for how creative and how much research she's been doing and oh god, she's doing a Roe v Wade video...

If only the decision had been leaked so she'd have known it was coming and been ready with a well-researched and informed video once the decision was announced...

You would have had a significant amount of cultural capital in order to pass the 11+, you’ll find some parents will try and get their children in both, they are similar because they both require privilege, section on anything: money, Gender, religion elevates the school because you have to know the system to get into it aka being able to afford to live into the catchment area or baptising your child. It all adds to the end result

I've worked in a lot of schools and there's a far bigger gulf between grammar and crappy comp than there is between grammar and private.

Not everyone who goes to Grammar has rich parents, but every one has parents who care about their education and giving them the best chance possible to succeed in life. Kids don't enrol themselves for the 11+ and it's not an automatic thing; families go out of their way to open up those opportunities to their children.

Edit: also whether or not her family are in the theatre and have direct connections, she's living in Central London on a 25k salary and clearly still enjoying the finer things in life, so it's obvious that there is another source of income and its probably either her parents directly or some kind of trust fund. 25k a year is like 1700 a month and that would barely cover rent, bills and food let alone international holidays, expensive meals out and cultural experiences in her spare time.

Eh, I sort of get it though. Most people don't enjoy their professional dress or find it hard to express themselves with professional outfits. Some people just straight up don't have a way to express themselves in general when it comes to professional dress, so finding small but professional ways to express that without straying into a territory that is deemed unprofessional by many (as in Eve's case some of the time) is really nice

The other thing with Eve is that I really don't see how being 'queer' means that it's 'special' to dress in a more masculine/feminine way. That's just how identity works in general for most people (we're not really bound to dressing and feeling feminine/masculine 24/7), and as I've mentioned she's always been creative with her outfits (didn't just stick to the black and white combo, suit or dress that you'd traditionally associate with business dress)

It seems that Eve is very lost on her identity as a person right now so she's throwing around 'queer' as a way to find a label of sorts, or she's overstating how much her sexuality really matters in the grand scheme of things - in a work place, it really shouldn't. Though there's been a push with LGBTQ so I wonder if that also party affects her mentality?

A six figure salary doesn't make up for missed family time, the gruelling hours, the pressure put on you - money doesn't solve everything

I mean it’s really not that bad, I’m scrolling on my iPad rn lol. I personally find the job incredibly interesting, like I’m currently working on a takeover of two of my favourite beauty companies. You only get that kind of work in the city. And the hours in corporate can really die down as it’s so deal dependent. WFH has also made seeing family during the week easier.

From what I gather Eve just never really cared about the reality of the job and wasn’t very good at her job. No respected 4th year trainee does a legal tech seat sorry, you would be wanted too much in more prominent departments

Seems like Eve wants to focus on being a lawyer now - and fair play I guess. The social media game is only going to last so long, and now she's not studying anymore, it seems like a good time to step back. She's still very active on Twitter and Instagram, but hasn't uploaded to YouTube in over 2 months and her MCC brand has vanished (apart from a website with a perpetual 'Something's coming soon' page). She's also stated on her LinkedIn that she is no longer MCC's creative director.

I found the discussion about her promoting corporate law to her audience interesting tbh. Especially as on YouTube, and even to some extent on IG, she has given a very positive view on everything and has 'glamorised' it to a slight extent. I wonder if she will be making a video on this move and why she made the choice in more detail

Another thing i find odd, not just with this video, but with other legal content, she tends to talk about american law. And the thing is, she went to uni to study british law, which is not the same thing. So she can’t really speak as an ‘expert’ even if you cast aside the fact that she has no experience with criminal law

English and Welsh law Scotland and NI have different systems! She just does it to get the most views but her luck is running out
