Also in her new video she said she wanted to be living up north in 5 years time. If she wants to be a journalist I imagine what she wants to do would be mostly based in London. And I thought she hated going back to a working class area when she comes back from uni so why would she want to move up north??

If she wants to do TV journalism, a lot of that is based out of Salford near Manchester.

I guess you have Media City in Salford though, that's probably the attraction there. And you can get some lovely houses in Manchester that would be astronomically more expensive in London. Can only assume what it is

Because the north is now like some edgy zoo to middle class kids that want to appear not like the other middle class kids. Where we speak funny and she can pretend to be like us for the cultural experience before trotting to the south.

I hate it when southerners take the piss out of how I talk, even though I’m at a northern uni most of the students are from London.

It's because working class (therefore a lot of the north) has become in vogue recently, with people wanting to get that aesthetic and viewing working class areas as edgy backdrops for Instagram without considering the actual issues that come with working class. Eve wants to be seen as cool and edgy, but without having to consider things like the huge amounts of poverty and disadvantages those of us who are actually working class face.

When she first started at Oxford she had vlogs with other students and it would be them laughing at northern stuff and her laying it on thick with her accent and claiming to be northern.

Eve will 100% fit in with the yah yah yah, “did you know I work at the BBC?” lot at mediacity

There’s literally nothing edgy about being working class, I just don’t understand why anyone with the privilege eve has would want to pretend to be disadvantaged. It’s not cool at all, and you’re right it takes away from the real issues faced by working class people, especially working class students at university surrounded by middle class tories

She’s never said, she occasionally brings it up but said it’s unlikely she’ll explain it. I think she’s embarrassed or something

Not Eve, suddenly tweeting about her uni not changing required time abroad and there no point being abroad because you can't immerse yourself in the languages because of lockdowns and having to limit social contact? Any responsible person would have thought those all of those risks existed in September to. My uni wouldn't change my year abroad requirements either but I recognised all of those reasons and stood my ground, even if rules allowed travel and socialising a responsible person would still limit their social contact. Eve went to Germany and was out like every day and even went on holiday to Poland, she's only using her common sense now because she's worried about flights not running and getting her way otherwise she'd have treated Spain with the same logic as Germany. She's always had a very entitled approach to her year abroad being abroad being the most important thing in this whole pandemic and has had no perspective literally until right now, a normal person would have come to those conclusions last year before things had even gotten this bad

Did Eve ever say what she was diagnosed with in 2019 when she went to her college counselling? Seems like it was depression or anxiety disorder?

Eve is unserious tbh. Sorry but if she cared that much she shouldn’t have come home for Christmas. Seeing the severity of covid cases surely after a summer of cancelled plans you’d be hesitant? I have a friend on a year abroad in Spain rn teaching children and she didn’t even come home for Christmas (she’s Muslim anyway but initially planned to come home and see her family after such a long time). You can’t have everything, especially now when people are literally losing so much. This pandemic is about sacrifice which she clearly thinks she’s exempt from

it’s not just her birthday day as well, her whole birthday weekend is in lockdown
