She’s trying to justify it by saying she’s immune. What’s the chances that she actually does the full isolation period without breaking the rules??

Also "I'm immune" right duck off Eve1. You can catch it more than once 2. You could still have it from the first time!!!!!There's no solid evidence of immunity, and she could still test positive! If she was truly immune they wouldn't be asking her to isolate. Even though it's less likely you could still catch covid outside, and with self isolation she should be going straight home. I can't believe how brazenly she flouts the rules.
I can't say for sure as I haven't travelled or had to isolate, but in the UK most people quarantine at home. I think if you've got a long journey you're allowed to isolate in a hotel overnight but it's about a 2 hour drive from London to the West Midlands so she'll have to go straight home. She is lucky that she doesn't have to worry about not being able to go to work etc.

Fair enough, in Australia we have mandatory 14 day quarantine in hotels where you can’t leave the room at all in that time and pay $3000 to the government. Her isolating at home for free with her mum cooking for her or ordering ubereats is hardly difficult
Eve gets more selfish by the day it seems. You just know she will moan about the UK being boring when she’s home.
Does she not think that her irresponsible actions may have contributed to this new lockdown in Germany?

As a German, it's so incredibly grating to see her complain that much. What did she expect? Sorry, we're in the middle of a pandemic and cases have been spiraling out of control in Germany before she even got here, yet she behaved in a way that made it very likely that she would get sick and then she has the guts to complain that our new rules (which by the way came like a month later than they should have) are hurting her feelings.
For weeks and months Merkel and all the ministers/majors have begged people to reduce social gatherings and only go out when it’s absolutely necessary.
But thanks to people like Eve we are now going back to a hard lockdown. Really makes me want to give her whiney face a smack when she has the nerve to comment on the situation!

She obviously knew how ungrateful she sounded otherwise she wouldn’t have needed to defend it. She needs to realise that she’s lucky to be able to go home for Christmas when so many people can’t.
Of course there’s nothing wrong with feeling like you’ve outgrown living with your parents (I imagine most students are at that point by 3rd year - I know I am), but considering a lot of people atm literally have no choice, she definitely should’ve kept this to herself
She does realise she how the power and the financial means to move out? I also used to love going home when I was at uni because I could be back with my family, she could also redo her bedroom at her mum’s (lot of my uni friends did that at the end of 3rd year when they had to move back in with their parents) she could declutter the tit she owns, she doesn’t need a piano in her room? She has a conservatory doesn’t she? I’m sure she could make the space work, she’s just a privileged witch who needs to be knocked down a peg or two.... because it’s not like the pandemic is still happening or anything?!?

I know so many people who won’t go home to see their parents / family because they work at hospitals or nursing homes and they don’t want to risk it. Not to mention all the people who have lost loved ones and won’t be able to go home to a loving home at all anymore

Her instagram story was in such poor taste - as others have said, she does not recognise her privilege in the slightest. In the current job climate pretty much all of my university friends are living at home. She is very lucky in that she has a nice home, surrounded by family, a bedroom of her own of a decent size in which she can work, and a stable living situation. So what if she has a lot of stuff? Most students will be in the same position - I moved back home in March half way through my MA and had a lot of stuff - I decluttered most of it and haven't missed any of it, and I've adapted my room to make it suit me now. Eve is never happy with anything?

God forbid Eve wouldn't be able to have her year abroad. A global pandemic isn't as important as Eve having her perfect uni experience xxx
So many students having their year abroad online and sat at their parents' house when they had planned to be off travelling the world. Eve is one of very few who still got the opportunity to go, and she can't even act responsibly and be gracious about the privilege she has.
