To each their own but calling it 'eww' adds to the stigma about buying secondhand, but we really should try to dismantle that because it's so much more sustainable. My friend works in a charity shop and honestly most of the things that arrive look like they've never/barely been worn. Just food for thought sorry to get off topic
I've worked in the fashion industry for a long time and fast fashion definitely adds to so much waste, I have friends who buy and sell second hand and they really actually like it, I just don't shop a lot, I'm a weirdo lol. Oddly I buy more books than new clothes. At work I have the option of taking a lot of free clothing home and what's left is donated to various charities and honestly I'd leave almost all of it to be donated, I have enough, some people have nothing.

I saw her plug her depop on IG stories, and with the back-to-back ads and hundreds of "swipe ups" she's been posting lately, she must be in need of a lot of cash right now. She probably found a 2 million GBP home in the country somewhere, that she wants to purchase. 😂

^ Ha! Well accumulating junk to promote it while disguised as a "vlog" or a picture is her actual job. Wonder what she's scrambling for, maybe you're right!

In London some centres will give you a vaccine if you go at the end of the day and wait - they have to chuck any leftover vaccines so offer them to anyone who turns up at the end of the day, but it is by priority in that “queue” too i.e age, risk, profession

Maybe she sold her place? I just checked the Daniel Cobb site again and it’s no longer listed.

👀👀 Removed from Rightmove too! She must be going for a massive house in the countryside with the normie, so need to make the extra $$, wonder when she has to leave that apartment as the depop swipe up clearly is the stuff she is decluttering.

Hmm 🤔 she is either going for something big with the normie or just can't keep affording such a luxurious lifestyle as brands are far more cautious with the budget their spend on influencers after covid.

I have a hard time picturing Estee living in the countryside, I think it would be good for her - but I feel like all her hobbies and interests revolve around shopping/beauty treatments in London and very few of them around being outside or closer to nature

I LOVE second-hand stuff. I've gotten some real gems in my local Value Village (thrift store here in Canada, think it's probably in the US too) and on Poshmark for a fraction of the retail cost. It's nice to have stuff that not every other person has. I buy some new stuff too, but my preference is for used, honestly. Fashion as an industry,, especially fast fashion, is so wasteful and huge amounts are sent to landfill so if we can offset that, even a little bit, then I'm on board.

Got to agree about buying used, I’ve recently made the most of Depop, Vinted etc and everything I bought looks almost new and for probably a 1/4 of the original cost. A dress for a wedding or a night out probably gets worn once or twice before being sold.

If you are buying new in a shop (pre-convid) it might have been tried on or even returned. I’m sure we’ve all seen new clothes with make up around the neck in store!

Yeah Ive volunteered for years in a charity shop and the donations we get are sometimes unbelievable. Brand new stuff, never worn, tags on etc. Definitely not ‘eww’. I’ve bought a ridiculous amount of good stuff over the years at a fraction of the price brand new.

The stuff for sale in shops/online is often returned stuff anyway. Agree with the above poster about make up on necklines. Joe Lycett did a feature on his show where they exposed ASOS and the like for sending out clothes that had blood and poo on them 🤢🤢

I wish Estee would promote buying second hand. It’s so much more sustainable. Buy second hand and stick it in the wash, you should be doing that with ‘new’ clothes anyway. Don’t see what the problem is 🤷🏼‍♀️

Wow. Estee, you greedy jerk. A depop. When she's a millionaire. Buying second hand is great but trying to SELL your clothes instead of giving them to a charity shop when you're a rich fucker is just... so frigging stingy Estee.

Also, she's such an mole. She's selling a dress for 200 quid and she puts in the description that it has a small coffee stain. Maybe then you shouldn't try to sell it for 200 pounds.

She has zero redeeming qualities these days.

I wonder how much of what she's selling was #gifted so she's actually making loads of money for no investment at all.

The thing that got me about that, it's described as 'like new' - like new with coffee stain?!?!

She’s throwing a tantrum because she got something delivered on a palette and doesn’t know how to get it into her office now. Oh god and two hours late as well!!

This is what happens when you have zero experience in the business world and decide with your lack of experience to start your own company. Everything is a big deal. People have about x3 of those types of things happen to them everyday at work and they don't even bat an eyelid.

Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't understand why the palette made any difference? How else would it be shipped, in boxes? She'd still have to carry them all up just like she had to? The only difference is she had to unwrap unwrap bit of cling film?

I assume those boxes in the palette are her water mirror tit? Such a tragedy for her having unwrap that and carry the boxes up next story we will see "guys I'm so done..so done" she is so greedy and stingy to pay for someone to carry the boxes up but so self entitled at the same time to do it herself. Starting a new business is really hard but with Estee living in a unrealistic bubble and having a lack of dicipline and consistency.. I don't see the water mirror thing being a success specially with soooo many brands doing the same products.

Ohh Estee such a terrible thing having to wake up early such a shame it wasn't fun 🙄. I really hate people that talk while they are eating, swallow whatever you have and then speak and then eat again.
I have no idea what sisley and space NK would have been thinking on hiring Estee for a skincare masterclass, I mean yesterday she was doing a zoom with Galline 🤣, she is not a professional and her skin is terrible luckily Sisley is crazy expensive and the few products I tried were meh.
