It’s also devastating that we have the highest rate of homelessness ever in the U.K. . So many people can’t afford to heat their homes or eat . So many others have lost a parent or both and have to cope on their own . Not everyone is gloriously privileged to have whatever they want and financial security . Instead of spending that money on a horse she hopes to compete one day ...how about actually helping others . Ya know from where her dad actually came from .

yes it’s sad losing a parent but it’s even more sad you think compensating a loss by buying your way into a sport is okay.
I totally agree buying a ready made horse to get to the top.

Not being funny but this is how horse sport works, how it functions as an economy… Without selling horses Charlotte etc wouldn’t be able to do what they do. Horses are brought on by experienced producers and then sold on for profit. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a horse that knows it’s job. This is just an extreme example!

Jeez you should read your comments through again and still see if you are feeling ok. Its not down to them to solve world hunger nor up to you to judge what people spend their money on. Your comment was vile and uncalled for.
i also can guarantee that loosing a parent causes big trauma and if she has the money to get a horse she wants then go for it. Being happy for others is a great personality trait. You should try it. Jealousy will just make you bitter x

We also have no idea how much or what these more privileged people do for charity. They don’t always shout it from the rooftops.

Some of you guys are like a dog with a bone 😴 people can disagree and move on. You may think she deserves an OBE for services to sport for spending an OBSCENE amount of money on a horse using her Dad's money, other people think that's actually a bit sickening. Doesn't make you jealous or bitter. I think everyone is thrilled for Charlotte for being able to fund her career further and sympathetic for the girl on losing her Dad, but think buying your way to the top of a sport is wrong. Those thoughts aren't mutually exclusive.

They are still living off daddy’s money whether he’s alive or not . They haven’t had a difficult life and are just spoilt brats who would never get to where they are without daddy’s estate and funding . They didnt start with nothing . He did .
I’m not saying it was their money. I’m sure they know they’d be nowhere without their dad’s money, but I’m also sure he wanted to bestow what he worked for onto them. I see both sides here- ‘buying’ your way to the top of the sport does seem unfair, Guranteed you need to be a good rider but that’s easier with money and lessons from top class riders. But also- if my dad had given me lots of money- I think I would go and buy something that knew its job and could take me to the top too. Horse sports are elitist and I’m sure we all know that. Unfortunately it won’t change and I think that if I was in a position to get myself to the top I’d probably take it too.

Has Evie Toombes gone into hiding or is she unwell? She hasn’t posted anything for a while now.
she hasn’t posted anything since the article first came out in the daily mail. Think she wasn’t expecting so much back lash and has gone quiet hoping it will all blow over 😬

thing is, she can have the best horse in the world and if her riding isn't up to that level and standard she won't do any good on it !.

a ready made horse saves training the horse yourself which how many are capable of being lucky enough to have a horse who stays sound long enough plus are talented enough to produce the horse to that high standard....

I hope she enjoys the horse, im sure she does lots for charity and pays a lot of uk taxes (or inheritance /dads business taxes etc)....

Exactly this - I worked for Tony for a long time and charity was absolutely at the forefront of a lot that he did. It really saddens me to read these types of thread. Sadly without cash, very few make it to the top.

As far as I'm aware no one has a problem with Tony? The focus has been on rich people buying their way to the top of what's already a very elitist sport. I'm not sure why people keep twisting it!

Yep. I totally get they probably made Charlotte an offer she couldn’t refund but by the looks Anna Bella has a string of top horses already … the sister too.

That’s what I was thinking. Not sure why she expected sympathy from people. She has a more privileged life than a lot of able bodied people.

Some of the vilest people on tattle seem to the be the white knight brigade on this forum 'standing up' for the poor victimised millionaires. But no, keep calling everyone a c*** and taking the moral high ground 🙄🙄🙄
