I just watched the latest two videos, and man oh man does she seem like she’s given up. I really like the longer hair, and her natural colour suits her, but otherwise she looks like a hot mess. Agreed with above, her tone of voice is off and in the spring wardrobe one, her eyes are barely open!

The wardrobe swap over was such a palaver, and I’m really not sure who the wardrobe planning video was aimed at? Seems like someone significantly older than Emma, who has a lot of leisure time on their hands.

The idea of shopping your wardrobe to make different outfit combos is good - and she could make a good video on that - but who has a few hours to spare every week doing that?!?

Emma thinks she has good style, but that's not the case. She has "a" style, which is better than none, and it's classic and minimal and fine, but it's not very creative or expressive (even her house is this way). Maybe that's all she's going for: to be safe, inconspicuous, and not take risks. But that's boring, and I don't need someone to tell me how to be boring, much less provide twice-yearly closet switchover videos, seasonal "Top 10 _____s", tips for how to purchase the same boring items, and how to style them 5 boring ways.

If I saw Emma walking down the street, I wouldn't look at her and think "She's got great style!" I would maybe think she was rich because of her Céline handbag or Gucci loafers, but that's it. I wouldn't necessarily want to get to know her. By contrast, I walked by a woman on my lunch break once (oh, to wander the streets downtown leisurely looking for places to eat again!) who had on an outfit that not only looked great, but she looked so natural and confident in it that I wanted to ask her where she got the skirt, what she did, what she was into, etc. That is true style. I can laugh at someone like The Anna Edit for trying so hard despite not having a clue, but I feel sad for Emma. More and more, the vibe I get from her outfits is "Keep walking, don't look at me. I'd rather be at home with my dogs, rearranging my handbags."

Randomly watched some of her old videos today - one from early 2019 and one from early 2020 - and she seems like a totally different person in terms of looks, enthusiasm for her subject, body language etc. 2020 was a firestorm for everyone, but she’s really lost her passion!

The funny thing is, she used with wear such fun, colourful clothes - the ‘style evolution’ video from 2019 shows that. I think she interprets neutral clothing as chic and chic as expensive, but to me she just looks kind of old and boring in a lot of what she wears.

Really not into her new bathroom. The brown cabinets are awful
I don't mind them, can see the look she's going for, but any type of veneered cabinet in a bathroom is likely to warp. If it were my bathroom though, I would have tiled all the walls, am not a fan of painted walls in bathrooms, it's just too damp a space.

I can't imagine doing such a big bathroom renovation when you only have one bathroom. Sounds miserable to me. I didn't really see what was wrong with the old bathroom other than the vanity being old and the shower leaking. Seems like a lot of work when that was all that needed to be fixed.

Emma seemed miserable in the whole video. Which I mean I get if I didn't have a shower and had to manually fill a toilet to flush it for a week I'd be pretty grumpy too. But I am almost worried for her now. I hope she's getting some mental health help.

I don't get the hotel vibe or the boring plaster "art work" either

I'm kinda shocked about her looks in this Wardrobe Planning video. She looks like she can hardly keep her eyes open, is she ok? The Tired Mom look also makes her come across very uninterested and she's explaining things almost in an angry tone. Watching her doesn't put you in a good mood at all, it's like she's talking about a very tiresome divorce and not about inspirational style and feeling good in nice clothes.

And the hair is just a big... yikes. This look is not that cool, nonchalant 'I don't give a duck' kinda thing, it's pretty firmly in the 'I've complete lost the plot' territory.
I had to take a look at her video and you’re right, it really did seem as if she couldn’t keep her eyes open. She didn’t sound welcoming or excited she just seemed tired and lifeless. I know people are depressed, anxious, uneasy especially coming off of such a terrible year but yikes maybe she needs to just give up being on YouTube. She comes across as uninspired and completely over it.

Watched the bathroom reno, actually liked it, the video and the reno. The cabinets are a bit too contemporary, though. They may have some day enough of seeing them. But for the time being, they are nice.

I only saw her miserable when she was not keen on being filmed, because of her appearance, she didn't feel comfortable. Compared to the wardrobe switchover, this is worlds apart.
Yeah, the toilet thing is annoying (had to do it like that when I was in India visiting my father, because the water pressure is too low, lol, and I am not used to the squat toilet, so I used the European one). What would go just a bit more on my nerves is the shower situation, having no space dedicated to get yourself fully wet. Maybe that was the reason her hair was so wild in the wardrobe switch :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:.

I’ve only just realised that the way she says ‘new’ irritates me beyond belief 🤯

The cabinet looks like something she bought for £5 from Holiday Inn due to COVID downsizing. Sorry

Did they explain why they encased their toilet in faux wood cabinetry? It looks so bizarre.

They encased the old one too, so it must just be preference 🤷🏻‍♀️ There must be a hidden door somewhere right? What happens if the chain on the internal plunger comes off?

I don’t know. Design-wise meh. Layout is still kind of weird (there’s just so much negative space). And the fact that they’ve hidden the toilet paper in the drawer is hilarious. With the encased toilet and the loo roll in a drawer, it’s like they want to hide that they poop and pee 😂😂😂

I watched her New In My Wardrobe video and it seemed like she's getting her mojo back a bit. At least she didn't sound as angry so it was more pleasant to watch. She does look tired but I can't really tell anymore if it's just a 'resting witch face' type of a permanent situation?

I did quite like the style, especially the bags were beautiful - the Celine and the Joseph ones, plus it actually made me click on Massimo Dutti's site to see if they have that Joseph-ish dupe. Obviously nothing groundbreaking - well, I guess the graphic two-toned canvas bag is almost groundbreaking in her monotone standards? - but I doubt anyone who watches her is expecting that from her anyway. I did appreciate that there was a few affordable Mango and H&M bits thrown in, like it or not I'm sure a lot of her viewers find those more accessible.

One thing I'm always wondering about these cool straight 90's jeans is how do people feel comfortable in 100 % cotton? It's too rigid for my liking, I need at least that 1 % elastane thrown in to give it a bit of stretch so I can survive a meal without needing to open a button...

They don’t, lol. Once you let go of the fallacy that vintage-style jeans are meant to be comfortable, it’s easier to accept them for what they are: a fashion statement.

Does anyone know what the actual F has happened to Emma hill? She looks rough as a in her latest videos! I know lockdown has been hard for all of us but honest, she looks so rough. Has something actually happened in her personal life?! 😳

Finding her so boring now I’m afraid, she’s really lost her spark. Unfollowed her on insta.
