Exactly. Definitely seems like she wants everything to be perfect. I made so many mistakes in my early 20s. Had awful relationships. Made and lost friends. And just generally being silly/reckless lol. But I think you sort of need to do these things to get to a point in your life where you really appreciate quiet nights in and your small circle of friends etc etc. It should happen organically, it can’t be engineered!
Maybe Emma only shows a very tiny portion of her life online so we would never really know what it’s like, but it does make her more and more unrelatable and the lifestyle that she does show is completely unattainable for people her age.

She talked on her last couple podcasts about how she’s really into being alone recently and not hanging out with friends. I wonder if she’s still friends with Olivia and Amanda. I know she used to throw dinner/pool parties but that was back in the summer. She seems a bit of a recluse now

I am honestly not surprised and kind of glad if she's not friends with Olivia and Amanda anymore. You can tell she's a bit more mature than both of them and on a different brain wave than the other girls, and that's fine. I feel like I'm somewhat similar to Emma and personally I could not tolerate the other girls. Emma needs to spend time around probably people that are a few years older than her to match maturity levels.

I agree she seems to thrive in New York I'm not sure why she said she has to live in LA because of work? ls it due to chamberlain coffee being LA based?

I'm curious if she leaves the house more often on the days she does not film, or if her vlogs are an almost accurate portrayal of her everyday life. For a young person with a lot of disposable income she doesn't do much, which is fine but surprising.

I feel like her vlogs aren't that accurate of a depiction at all. I don't think she vlogged being in Paris with LVMH for their young designers award thing etc. so there's a lot of stuff, trips and events that she leaves out. She's been part of quite a few editorials recently too so her days might be quite busy. We only see tiny snippet of her in her home where she feels comfortable vlogging.

I follow emmachamberlainupdates on instagram and I've seen a few pictures of her out to dinner with Kendall Jenner and a lot with Derek B (head of fashion at Youtube).

I think Tucker (rolemodel) is her boyfriend? She was at his concert too.

Oh wow good for her, having a list of the things she wants in friends? Number 1 you have to like someone who has a list of attributes they check that people have. What an egomaniac. No one is perfect unfortunately including Miss Chamberlain!

really odd behaviour! does she think she is such a special human that people would automatically flock to be friends with her because she has such a sparkling personality and she's going to have to separate the wheat from the chaff to find the friends that align with her list. she doesn't realise that most people won't be friends with her because of her personality but because of her status in the influencer world.

Why does she insist on telling everyone around her about her body odor and rashes. She's wearing Cartier and expensive clothing but has absolutely no class. She thinks she's funny and casual but she's getting ready for a prestigious film festival with no manners. Have some respect for the people around you that have actual jobs.
Maybe it's a European thing but we would never talk so openly about bodily issues to staff and workers unless it's an emergency, obviously.
I get it you have a rash...deal with it on your own. Maybe ask your father for help, but don't belt it out to a room full of people.
And yes, perfume has alcohol aside from other potential irritants.

Has anyone else listened to her latest podcast yet? She's so self aware and mature for her age that I sometimes think it's to her detriment. I can understand how even though it seems like she's 'got it all' (i.e., money, living in LA, fame, etc.) that would come with its struggles.
I love the podcast but damn so many ads I really get into it and then BAM download Hinge 🥱

She got burned out. I think her YouTube dynamic was better when she hired an editor. The uploads were more consistent, and there were new ideas.

Her recent uploads with the channel rebranding are depressing as hell—it shows her mental state. I guess the break is really needed.

Yea I just finished listening to it, so she has quit YouTube because she’s TWENTY now and she’d like to progress… I stress twenty because she kept saying it. I don’t think anyone would care if she completely changed up her content to “mature” or whatever. I can understand what she said about not being able to figure out what she likes because she thinks about content 24/7… yea a break is probably needed.

I did find them a bit whiny about the whole thing, like eurgh it’s soo hard doing this job even when you feel down. Erm that’s just employment, we all have to put up with this crap.

Anyway I wish Emma the best, sounds like she’ll keep her podcast as it’s low effort.

Yes! That was exactly my comment listening to her new podcast episode when she mentioned authenticity and having a facade for your audience and Youtube (non verbatim)—that’s basically employment in a nutshell. She needs a traditional job to understand we do have a “work” personality. It needs to be separated from your everyday personality, or else you’ll get burned out—which happened to her. She needs to have a work-life balance. That’s why she was better off having an editor. It somehow balanced her work and life.

I know her original editing style was considered to be something different in the beginning with her zooms and distortion filters, but her content wasn't that different from many other girls her age on youtube.

Who are Olivia and Amanda? She’s never mentioned any friends in the period of time I’ve watched her and I don’t follow any update accounts but she must have enough if she was throwing weekly pool parties and also I don’t think she’d be able to function if her videos were an accurate portrayal of her life because she’d see absolutely no one other than the Whole Foods cashier and her nail lady

They're seemingly her best friends, they used to do a lot of videos together if you look back at her uploads from maybe two years ago. They stopped featuring on her Youtube and Instagram along with seemingly every other person in her life lol. She has this shtick about not having any friends, yet she throws parties and goes out to dinner regularly.

i think some people are just introverted, but in my case anyway and probably some others, was made feel that it was wrong to want to spend time alone. i kinda envy emma for being able to do what she wants and not have to deal with dick people in her life. like what the rest of us have to do with jobs and stuff. i like her podcast alot shes v relatable
