But she's a real musician guys!
Gunna compare her to Dodie, who just released her first album. Love her or loathe her, her YouTube channel is a stark contrast to that of Emma's. Looking at Dodie's, you can see she's focused on the music and has a consistent style/image. Even looking at someone like Leadley (musicalbethan), there are a couple of non-music videos but the channel instantly tells you her focus is music. Emma's channel... is a mess. 30 different styles, a muddle of videos (some cooking, some storytimes, some games, some music, some comedy, some more storytimes, some educational, some gossip/reactions, etc), the occasional music video, no consistency and dwindling views too.
I just seem to remember her once going on about being a proper musician and she's not embarrassed anymore by the YouTube association but she wanted to distance herself from being "a youtuber" first, etc. But you wouldn't get that impression whatsoever, looking at her channel. In fact, the music feels like an afterthought, compared to the amount of other crap on there. Not saying you can't have both, but surely there should be some consistency. She should never have merged all her side channels into one - maybe that's where the fault lies, there's now no distinction between any of her content.
