Emily Atack

My bottom line about it is, unless a woman asks for a dick pic, don’t you bleeping dare. Unless a woman has made it clear she would like to engage in that kind of talk with you, don’t you bleeping dare. I’m seriously fed up of certain men thinking they are owed a woman’s time, and she should be grateful for the attention. There was a time these men would be written off as socially awkward or incels, but the more you dig, the more you’ll find fathers, married men engaging in this tit. Boils down to the Madonna / bleep complex a lot of them have, which is NOT the problem of the victim they’ve targeted with their bullshit. I’m not a fan of Emily’s, I find her profoundly unfunny, but I will always, always, always defend someone who is getting blamed for the bad behaviour of disrespectful morons with no self control.

Posting The Rools seems awful defensive.
I think some people expected the threads would go ‘divvy bint, why is she moaning, she’s not even attractive to have pics sent’ and the thing is it didn’t go that way so they cried ‘being mean’….. they don’t care what people are saying’to challenge them, they don’t care to offer a counter challenge or to defend their views. We just all haven’t laughed at emily atack and now they want us to shut up

Totally this. And half of what you have said is the issue. It’s not awkward people doing this. It’s ‘normal people’ but it means opening some uncomfortable truths. It’s like when parents of teenage boys say they never check phones when the lads get caught out. Because it means having to talk about things like porn, ideas of sexuality and respect. And I think most parents like to think they have brought teenagers up to respect the opposite sex (not saying they haven’t) but then when that isn’t the case, they have to question why and how that attitude came about. And no one wants to think their son might have been watching pseudo rape porn or hardcore sex and have to say ‘that’s not normal kid’ so then no one protects our girls.

Exactly, it is very much not a minority of men, incels are at the extreme end but I have been in so many situations in person where men do not take no for an answer, then result to insults/threats etc it is in no way a minority issue. I always felt like a bad feminist saying "I have a boyfriend" as an ecxuse for saying no as it is sad that men will only respect another man but usually you just have to as risking just rejecting them can be dangerous

Just seen the documentary on her talking about the ***k pics she gets , shes pretty but certainly nothing like her pics and definitely hides the amount of weight she’s put on , kind of looks like a less good looking version on Kimberley from girls aloud, I do agree the documentary was good PR tactic though more than anything and just another ‘ celebrity ‘ who uses the media , lad mags (when they were around) etc to suit them
what misogynistic crap is this

Yep. And every celeb uses the media when it suits them - not sure why someone would think Emily is alone in that.
Oh no, there are sainted celebs why can do things raising awareness that are fine. Look at the flack people who raised about Tom Moore’s family not being strictly as they made out….. who on earth would think that a man going for a walk and a daughter that had good pr links would ever make it to be well knwon 🤷🏻‍♀️
but she’s different, and it’s all because how dare a woman who might pose in a bikini mention she doesn’t like people sending her photos of their cock. It’s not like documentary makers have to have a story and evidence to commission funding and research focus groups etc to use on it, it’s just coz her management have shoved her forwards for it. 🙄

I actually really liked her after watching the documentary, thought she came across well. So many men are disgusting sordid pieces of tit. I thought she should start screenshotting their messages with their handles and full names and put them on her insta, name and shame. Why don't more celebrities do that?

Ffs the internet is full of weirdos and pervs obviously if your going to put bikini pics up and have tits out while at a charity do ( also proudly make blow job jokes and sex jokes in your ‘comedy act’) one with half a brain cell knows your going to get weirdos messaging you dick pics and messages not right but that’s the outcome I’m afraid you can’t have it both ways then use sex to promote your career ! Also what a poor example to young girls with her catfishing making yourself look like a size 8 when reality is she’s probably about a size 14

Unfortunately, she’d be more likely to be done for doxxing than they are for harassment. The world is fucked up.

This all sounds like we must all dress in our best nun attire and not make a single sexual joke in our lives otherwise we’re asking to be sexualised and should expect men to not be able to control themselves around us?
Are the school girls walking down the street getting catcalled asking for it? No.
Is the woman who posted a gorgeous photo of her wedding day where her dress shows whopping cleavage asking for it? No.
Is the sex worker who has clocked out for the day asking for it? No.
You can’t say “you should expect it” about one woman and not to the rest. No one should expect to be sexually harassed, online or offline.

I will agree and the fact she’s a massive catfish though and needs to lay off the filters and facetune.

I have pics of me in a bikini on my Insta and I’ve even shown off my cleavage on nights out! And I’ve probably joked about blow jobs and sex more times than you’ve had hot dinners. Quick! Alert the village elders!! Seriously though, I can do what the duck I like with regards to photos and clothes and humour but NO ONE is entitled to send me photos of their genitalia without me saying it’s ok to do so.

Erm no…… coz in actual fact, it’s not just girls like the ones you citied that do bikini shots that get these messages. Teenaged girls in school uniforms do. Normal women in flowery maxi dresses do. And that what half of this stuff is for what she is doing, making the point that it’s just becoming a normalised thing and people seem to be accepting it. And I think the point she is also making, and us all is that it doesn’t matter HOW you behave, the onus is on people just not to bleeping do it. You wouldn’t just get a random cock out in a nightclub at girls in short skirts, or on the beach on holiday to show your appreciation so why online? Why is that fair game??
As for ‘catfishing’, so bloody what. We all use filters etc to make ourselves feel better. my work photo is filtered to duck, but no one says I shouldn’t do that and should look shite. so why shouldn’t she? She’s never gone out there, unlike some and seemingly pretended not to do it. And her target market isn’t the kids, it’s people old enough to know that filters are used etc.
Or are you linking things, saying she’s not pretty enough or skinny enough to warrent these pics, or should just accept it coz she’s not like the hottest love island girl???

Nobody has the right to make derogatory comments towards you regardless of what you're wearing or jokes that you may tell.

I'm sure each and every one of us woman on here have at some point recieved dirty unwanted messages or a had a random guy feel you up in a club without your consent.
This isn't ok and needs to stop

All you're saying here is 'she's asking for it'. Which I'm afraid makes you a misogynist. She could run naked up and down the street and she wouldn't be asking for it. NO man has the right to send her degrading messages or horrible pictures and no man has the right to deliberately make her feel humiliated.

I might have imagined all this so I apologise if so.

But..I'm sure there has been a long running campaign about the sexualisation of school uniforms ie dirty film etc.

If I remember correctly from her inbetweeners days her uniform was very "sexy" based ie button downed shirt.

This isn't a reflection on Emily but society itself. I won't attach my opinion either way on this post because this isn't an "emily" issue.

I actually laugh at dick pics , got sent one by a guy in college when I was younger had a right laugh with friends to be honest , go on tinder it’s full of them apparently , does not offend me personally, cat calling too / wolf whistles etc I take it as a compliment , snowflakes that find it offensive need to realise once you reach a certain age and everything goes south you won’t be getting any of that so take it as a light hearted compliment I’d say , there’s a big difference between pics and being groped / raped and personally I don’t think the police should be called if someone sent you a dick pic.

I think it's more the general view of these photos being kind of like the modern day flashing.

Not my view, don't bother me either. I'd have a bit of a giggle with friends over a glass of wine.

Where do you draw the line? What age is appropriate? As a mum to a 10 year daughter I find it troubling. Would I be offended by a dick pic or wolf whistle? Possibly not. Would I be offended for my daughter in the future- yes I would. Absolutely.
What’s the difference to a flasher in the street versus a flasher online?
I’m not saying I have answers but it’s certainly given me food for thought.

Might be a hard pill to swallow but just because you and the people around you find something funny doesn’t mean everyone in the world does, the ratio is very very small of your circle compared to the general public. That doesn’t make other people “snowflakes”, it just means they think differently to you. Might be something to think about(y).

At the very least Emily has got a conversation going on this thread so the documentary has done what it was made to do.

What would give me the rage the most if I got sent a dick pick would be seeing it without being paid. Apparently you can get paid for rating them on onlyfans.
