If I were Emilie I'd never be able to forgive him, and id never be allowing Teddy to be with him alone....Emilie provided an amazing life and standard of living; and all he had to do was treat his stay at home father role with the seriousness and discipline it needed. If he wanted to watch the game then he should have told Emilie not to go out, or he should have watched it outside on the screen while supervising both of the boys. It's absolutely heartbreaking to find out that he was 'busy' placing a bet and watching the game. I don't understand why he couldn't have just said to Trigg 'hang on buddy,you can go and play out in a second when daddy's finished watching the game' or just gone outside to the outdoor seating area and TV. He must be consumed with guilt and what ifs, and rightly so. Iv no doubt he loved and adored Trigg, he must be struggling so much and now he's paid the ultimate price. I can't even imagine how Emilie must feel, I understand she doesn't want to lose anymore but I just can't imagine how their marriage will stay together.
It's just beyond awful reading it all, I couldnt manage all of it. My little boy is only 2 days older than Trigg and I start to panic when I think about it too much.
There are some things you read and you feel you aren't the same for doing so, and little Triggs death is one of them. ....Trigg, I hope you save lives little buddy, everyone should learn from your story.

All he had to do was put the net on, and then remove it the next morning for the pool service. Two minutes. But he couldn't be bothered. That poor, poor baby

I saw a still from one of their vlogs where they had a baby gate type thing next to their cream patio chairs to stop the dogs getting them muddy. But nothing on the pool.

Selfishly I wish I’d never seen any TikTok’s or reports detailing what actually happened and could have carried on believing that it was an accident and Brady did take his eyes off him for just a few minutes - not 10. It was maybe somehow easier to kind of think about it that way. Thinking about how Trigg would have been trying to keep his head above the water and just hoping someone would come and save him for those two long minutes but no one did is gut wrenching. How would you ever sleep at night again being his parents.
I hope they do the most they can to raise awareness around pool safety and educating others so this doesn’t happen to more families. That would be one way to honour their special boys life.

I still think they'll split up. Emilie will come back and do healing/single mum content and raise awareness. The report is pretty heavily skewed to blame Brady

I have no idea how they could possibly go on together after this.

Usually I feel very sorry for and defensive of parents who lose children to accidents, things like parents who go into autopilot and unintentionally leave their baby in the car or when there is crossed wires about who is responsible or when there is a genuine distraction and lasp of attention. I really think it can happen to anyone. However in this case it just seems like total neglect on Brady’s part I read it was the FIRST TIME she was out with friends since the baby? And within 20 minutes their toddler had drowned. He KNEW he was outside, he knew he hadn’t bothered to put the cover on the pool which would have taken 10 mins, it also seems he wasn’t actually a strong swimmer which Brady also knew. His wife had literally just left and he was already ignoring his toddler and watching a basketball game he had placed a bet on. I saw someone point out on Reddit he could have easily just told Trigg to come inside and play, but clearly he was happy being undisturbed with his game.

Especially as they had all that luxury garden furniture out there that’s probably as comfy as the couch for feeding the baby. I remember seeing Trigg on his little bike riding around the pool and thinking it was a bit dangerous so close to the water. It’s crazy they only thought about Trigg getting in the water deliberately and thinking it’s ok because he knows not to, they didn’t even consider him falling in by accident which the way toddlers run around was the most likely danger. Poor Trigg.

It's in the report, he placed a bet on the basketball game one hour before. He was obviously watching the game to see if he won the bet when Trigg was drowning.

The world suddenly feels very heavy after reading the report today. I read all 52 pages and I wish I hadn’t. I feel sick to the stomach at the pure neglect. He was such a beautiful little boy and so full of life

I skim read so I may have got this wrong, but didn’t he initially say he was sat on a chair inside the house but the chair was in a position where he could see outside. But then in his second interview he had to say he wasn’t sat there as the security cameras showed that he wasn’t sat there?

If this had occurred in the UK, Children's Social Care would be involved with the family now. The new baby would be considered at risk of neglect and at the very least, be on a Child in Need Plan if Brady remained living in the family home. Part of their involvement would be pool protection being put in asap too. I do hope whatever agencies are there, are supporting Emilie and ensuring that new baby is protected. We can all sit here and say she should have done this or that but you never think tragedy will happen to you and she has to live with that for the rest of her life. No mother deserves that life sentence. I'm a forgiving and understanding person but that's a long time to leave a child alone by a pool, a minute or two I can sympathise with as weve all been guilty of distraction at some point especially in the trenches with a newborn, but he had only been home alone for 20 minutes with the kids, baby Trigg was left alone for 10 and the lying to Police - I'd bet he told a few lies to Emilie too. Don't lie to save your own a whilst your baby is fighting for their life you twit.

What Brady did was unforgivable and I agree with the police recommending charges of negligence. I also noticed the emotive language of “I was bonding with my newborn”… pathetic attempt at making himself look like dad of the year.

Emilie was gone for 20 minutes. The first time she had left them both with him in their words. Complete and utter disgrace. But on the other hand I see why she’s stayed with him, if she leaves him, she knows she’ll have to leave Teddy with him 50% of the time and no doubt isn’t able to handle that thought.
