Wow, what a poor excuse for a man and father.

Earlier in this thread before this report coming out I said he should be charged for negligence and was shot down for it.

It wasn’t as he was dealing with an emergency with the baby like throwing up or screaming, no, watching a basketball game, like WTF…?

Just the lying alone and trying to cover up his tracks should warrant a negligence charge at a very minimum.

Brady made a bet on the basketball game about an hour before the drowning, so I guess it showed how invested he was in the game, which was playing at the same time as the incident.

The whole thing is just so devastating, I can't stop thinking about that poor little boy doing his very best to tread water in the pool just like he had been taught. My heart is broken all over again.

There was a news item a few days ago here in the UK about a dad who went driving with his 14 year old son as a passenger. The dad was high on c which he knew triggered his epilepsy, his doctors had told him not to drive, he was neither insured nor licenced to drive. The boy died but the dad survived and was jailed for 10 years.
I honestly don’t see how this is much different - just totally reckless behaviour. Everyone saying BK has been punished enough etc but parents ARE punished with jail for playing fast and loose with their kid’s life and this should be no different.

He's probably gotten away with no charges because of her family's lawyer connections. Personally if I were her, I'd want him punished. I couldn't cover for him.

Precisely, I’d be using my family’s law connections to see that he was correctly dealt with, not to cover up his negligence.

When I've heard about toddler drownings before, it's been when the child has secretly slipped out or at a party when there were so many adults present it was assumed that the child was being watched, or when a parent has looked away for a moment... but just not bothering to watch him for a whole 9 minutes in a pool area. Why even let him out!? This case blows my mind! I do feel awful for Brady (not as awful as I feel for Trigg and Emilie, mind)... I don't know how I'd cope if I were in his shoes. It wasn't on purpose, but it really was so unbelievably stupid and irresponsible. I hope he can find peace, because I can't think of much worse than being responsible for the death of your child, whom you loved.

I’m physically sick from reading the police report. Wtf was that?! And the lying? Oh wow… he lied in ALL interviews about the death of his son. Wouldn’t you want to assist the police in their investigation as much as possible? Especially if it’s an accident. He’s also extremely dumb as he should have known they would review the CCTV footage since it’s HIS house that’s full of cameras. Why would you lie that you’re on a chair outside watching your son and “very quickly” went in to make a drink when that’s simply not true and can easily be checked. Emilie was gone for 30 MINUTES. He could not watch his own 2 kids for 30 bleeping MINUTES. What an absolute LOSER! Emily did EVERYTHING in that house. Not only was she the sole breadwinner, she showed herself getting ready while heavily pregnant, waking up Trigg, dressing him, making his breakfast, getting herself ready for filming, all while that loser was fast asleep. She made such a huge mistake marrying this useless human being. What a tragedy. I have a 4 year old daughter and when she’s in the bathtub and I quickly need to run out to get a towel I will literally sprint to the other room as fast as I can and call out her name the whole time to hear if she’s still alive. And this is a bathtub, NOT an uncovered huge swimming pool. And grabbing the towel takes me 30sec. How is it possible to not check on your son for 10 MINUTES?!!!! I’m flabbergasted.

I have a 7 week old son, I’m quite an anxious person and I will never play with my son’s safety. Is this not parental instinct? Was Brady lacking this?

I always think if I’ve forgotten a towel during bath time, I’d take my son out of the water, place him safely on the floor, take the t shirt off my own back, wrap him, go and get the towel and then wrap him in that. I’d rather him cry safely on the carpet because he’s cold for 30 seconds than potentially silently slip in the water.

Genuine question, was Brady kiser naive enough to think tragedy wouldn’t happen to him? Was he too stupid/careless to risk assess?

I don’t know if it’s a man thing but although I know my other half would never deliberately put my little boy in harms way he’s always had a well you could go outside and get hit by a bus person. Whereas I risk assess everything.

My little one is at an age where he likes being in his grandparents garden all the time. It’s fully enclosed no way of entering or exiting and everyone seems to think he’s fine wandering in and out himself. But I just keep thinking of scenarios where he could seriously get hurt and have made it clear he’s either in or out with an adult. I don’t want to be an if only girl!

Their lifestyle was so sanitised, and when I watch the tiktoks it’s like watching a game of The Sims play out. I often think that about the US influencers but with them it was especially true.

He only had one job that whole day, and he didn’t even manage it for 20 minutes.

This. I also don’t believe this would have happened on Emilie’s watch. A lot of people are insisting it could have because of Brady’s statement that it ‘wasn’t unusual’ for Trigg to be out there alone but he’s been full of half-truths and inaccuracies. If Emilie was really in the habit of letting him wonder about unsupervised next to the uncovered pool then it’s a miracle it took this long for an accident to occur. Of course there’s still responsibility on her part for not taking overall pool safety/security seriously but I just don’t believe this situation would have unfolded whilst the boys were in her care.

I read somewhere the bet was placed 1 hr before the accident.
